Will I be able to run DayZ Standalone?

I know that DayZ will be using the Arma 2.5 engine. My computer can just barely run DayZ on the lowest settings and occasionally will start getting lag. I was wondering if I'll even be able to run the standalone.

from all i know, the standalone is supposed to be by far better optimized than the current dayz

so, hopefully, it will run better

Correct, they are optimizing many details from the ArmA engine. Things like, removing all the rendered zombie fingerbones.

altho im afraid the optimization will visually all go to nothing because the standalone will have more zombies and players per map, so it might all balance out to current level of performance

Search around the forums.. If you can run DayZ now you probably can the standalone.
