My save keeps dissapearing every time i join a server

hey, i got dayZ a couple of days ago and for some reason whenever i leave a server for whatever reason and reconnect, my guy just respawns at the coast, as if i died and respawned. do i have to join the same server or is this just an error?

You have to connect to servers that are on the same hive.

Tick "Hide Unofficial" in DayZCommander if you only want to play on public hive servers, you should be able to move between any of these servers.

If they have an 'X' in the cloud, they are private hives, that being said there are some servers that all connect/share a single private hive too.
