HURRRR died again!

Recommended Posts

Lower pop. servers (5-15 players), staying away from the cities unless I have to go there, keep away from the airfields. Use Animals for food and lakes for drinks, you can survive well off deer stands for ammo and rarely encounter players. Got 25 days survival now.

Playing on dead servers is hardly a solution. You're not really surviving anything if there's no player interaction, you're simply running around looting dead servers - 25 days in your case isn't much of an achievement.

OP try the mydayz.de private hives, you need to be whitelisted to join (follow the instructions on their site.)

how can you possibly tell someone spawns behind you and shoots you in the back.

I smell BS

I see it all the time. Whenever running Im constantly holding down ALT to look in all directions. Have been doing that since I started getting randomly shot in the back from an area I just completely cleared.

Not actual proof either. People coming into your blind spot (your FOV still ain't 360 degrees you know) still have a crack at you. So does someone you didn't see, or who saw you first and ducked into cover, or any other possible explanation. The only time you know for sure it was a hacker is if it's a gunfight and he/she just does not die due to god mode.

I am not saying people don't get killed by hackers, we all know it happens every minute, but assuming (that's what the OP is doing) it's always hackers is ludicrous. Maybe you're bad. maybe you need to pay better attention to your surrounds. maybe a lot of things.

I know what you mean about people teleporting behind and killing you.

Last two times my team got wiped was when someone did that. First was when we were deep in the woods way to the north waiting on a friend of ours to stop being afk and gunfire erupts out of a place I had just checked only a few seconds before, killing two of us before we could even react.

Second time was us running through the woods again with me checking over our back the whole time and we get lit up by an LMG and killed before we can fight back.

Granted I can't guarantee that these guys are script kiddies but I'd be willing to bet on it. I seriously can't figure out what enjoyment they get out of it though.

Privatehive servers is the answer:) if a hacker shows up and destroy your day. You simply contact the admins, they find the hacker and bans his ass back to the stonage. Then they roleback the server to before it happend. And you can continue from where you got cut off. Yes its that simple:)

Orly?

sorry to bust your bubble but this isnt true.

I am owner of two private hives and I have never seen a feature that allows us to do this. Also if this was true in anyway. If I Roll back the server to an earlier save point to before buddy gets killed then doesnt every other player get rolled back as well? Wouldnt that anger the people that werent affect by the hacker?

Sorry but it isnt that easy.

next time try to atleast make it seem like you know wtf you are talking about before failing to help someone out.

If that is actually happening. That's not cool. What about the other possible 49 people on that server that will lose heli's, cars, gear from that rollback.

It sure as hell better not be happening in anyway what so ever. Thankfully what he is saying isnt true and cant happen. Atleast it isnt an option through the company we lease our servers through.

5 to 15 players isn't a dead server. I personally think it's much better than joining a 50+ server where any tent or vehicle will be found in a matter of hours unless they're stashed off the map. The game feels more lonely and if there are two opposing teams on a server, rather than a bunch of deathmatching retards, the game really starts to shine. And just because there are only 5-15 players on at any given time doesn't mean there are not 50 people playing on that server, building bases, fixing vehicles, hunting others, etc. There could actually be a community of players that play at different times.

This really just comes down to personal preference. I'm having more fun on a low pop private hive server with 3 opposing clans than I ever did playing on a massive server packed with Coddies. Some people want to play an unbalanced and endless deathmatch game. That's cool, it's just not for everyone.

Until duping and most of the hacking is stopped the 50+ servers will continue to suck.

(can't wait for the tears... the sweet sweet tears of deathmatchers)

Public server we have our long lived full survivor mode chars that we log on two or three times a week and play like paranoid freaks, priv hive has our no remorse no repent chars. Still get mass killed but admins are active and banhammer falls very fucking quickly. If hackers are pissing you off then you need to take a step back, get outside and take a big fat breath of sweet sweet oxygen and then return to game, aint no real joy till standalone dude.

You just use one of the back ups. It's a SQL database right? So all u do is use one of the earlier ones and yes it means everyone gets affected so it's a call that has to be made on the spot and how many people are going to loose out. Backup every 20 minutes and that usually means nobody is going to miss anything too much but as I said, depends on what happened and also, you can ask ur players by sidechat if anyone's going to be adversely affected.
