Singleplayer running DayZ

Hi, I decided to run DayZ Singleplayer first (Yes I know its unofficial) because I tried getting into many servers but it was all to complicated and litterly the second I spawned there were zombies next to me and anyway, I cant run singleplayer and incase I get in trouble for DayZ SP I wanted it so I could learn the ropes so I dont waste my time getting in and dieing in half an hour.

Because using empty servers to gain loot on main hive servers is no better than scripting/duping. xD

Plus you can spawn items in singleplayer. It's fun for half an hour if you're bored or want to learn how things work.

Part of the "excitement" is the not knowing shit.. just play the arma tutorials if you are new to the game, movement etc and you should be good to go.

Just hit some server that has around 10 players and you will be fine.

I don't understand your problem, sorry. Can you reword the last part?

You have to downgrade to version 1.7.2.3 with DayZ Commander if you want to play singleplayer.

The 'DayZ SP' mod has been upgraded to v1.7.2.6.

· Download dayz1.7.2.6sp_****.net.zip (sounds like you already have) NB. I've censored the name of the website. Find it yourself.

· In your Arma2 root folder, copy the official @DayZ folder and rename the copy @DayZsp

· Copy dayz_code.pbo from the above zip file to @DayZsp/Addons (overwriting the original)

· Copy DayZ_SP.Chernarus.pbo from the above zip file to Arma2/missions (The missions folder already exists).

· Copy the desktop shortcut to your Arma2 executable, and add the DayZsp mod to the end. For example, mine is:

Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -nosplash -mod=@DayZsp

· That's all. Start the single player with the new shortcut. Then main menu -> single player -> scenarios -> DayZ SP

· Don't forget double tapping 0 (zero) when in-game brings up a small menu for spawning objects, weapons and vehicles.

Unfortunately there are no natural vehicle spawns or heli crash sites in the single player, because they are spawned by the server software (which you're not connecting to). So whilst it's not a fully playable single player version, the mod is good enough for just practising and training. I used it to learn zombie behaviour and practise with some weapons and vehicles. Quite often I'll go to a place in single player before I go there on the hive, to learn where the zombies spawn from, how many zombies, good vantage points and hiding places, where snipers might hide, good places to loot, places to hide a tent, an escape route, etc.

That's what I said. It's not really a single player, but a mod that you can use for training.

It's your very own private hive - so private, in fact, that others cannot connect to it. :D
