Youtube vids can help. To an extent.

There's only so much tutorials can do for you, then you'll have to rely on experience. Simply playing grants you much, much more skill than a video could.

Watch Youtube videos to understand the game a little bit more like what guns are good and bad and what things you need to survive. :)

Indeed, that's what I did. I watched alot of youtube vids before deciding to jump in, and even something as simple as watching how other people avoid or run past zombies teaches you how not to freak out and just to deal with the situation calmly. Also, you can learn alot of the places to stay away from, common sniper roosts and whatnot. Having a friendly player help you cannot be beat though.
