fps lag on some servers

I have a problem where my computer gets like 2 fps on some servers. This makes finding a server very hard at times seeing how I play with 2 friends. However on about half the servers my game runs fine and I get very go fps. I have no idea what causes this and it seems to be always be the same server (eg if I lag on one server I could join another a few secs later and the game runs fine. However if I join that server I was laggy on again I'll lag again. It also doesn't seem to matter where the server is located)

Windows 7 64bit

AMD Pii 720 3.4ghz cpu

AMD 6870 gpu

4gb ram

750w psu

This happens to me.. Some servers stuck at like 5 fps. Not sure how to fix it or exactly what the problem is. The server may need a restart or something. Just have to join another one.

I've had this all tonight, to the point I gave up trying.

Might be weekend traffic! Though some servers do need a reset.

Well the thing is it only seems to be me. The other two people I play with don't have FPS lag at all, but I do. However it's only on some servers. Its weird thats all I can think of.

This is due to long uptime, it stresses the CPU which is the main power of an ArmA 2 server. Slow old CPU? Bottlenecking will occure. Go find another server with active administration.

Is there any way to tell how long a server has been up, other than unusually poor performance when playing on it?

You can try googling and see the restarts (servername and "dayz")
