CZ550?

CZ550 rarity is on par with NVG/Rangefinders/Ghillie/Mountain Dew -- literally. It ONLY spawns from the Farm loot table and has a 1% chance to spawn (the lowest individual spawn chance of any item in DayZ. Other things like NVG/Rangefinders/etc. also have a 1% spawn rate, drawing a parallel to its rarity) It is indeed an exceptionally rare spawn. Those claiming deer stands/residential found a CZ550 left behind by its prior owner. Prying open dayz_code.pbo is what confirms its loot locations and chance. Farm only. 1% chance.

With that said, I think it's a very DayZ appropriate rifle. I think its rarity is tied to the fact it's on the farm loot table. If moved elsewhere, I could see it being bumped up a bit.

It should be added to the deer stand loot table, with military grade sniper rifles being removed from it.

I have found four in my DayZ lifetime. This is, because I like raiding farms :D

It's a great weapon, I had it on my longest survival attempt.

The very first weapon I found in this game was the CZ550, found it inside a barn, dunno why, but everytime I want one of those on the very first 3 barns I explore theres always one...

such an overrated gun on these forums. only people i see that want them are those on the forum that want to handicap themselves for the sake of role playing. it's rare because it's the worst sniper rifle in the game, with a terrible scope. i've seen them in a lot in barns, but even if i'm a fresh spawn, i'd rather just keep my AK variant or enfield, leave it and head north to hunt down a chopper crash and get a DMR. i've found a shit load of tents with pretty much every weapon and tool in the game, but i can't recall ever seeing a CZ in one. nobody wants to use them, nobody wants to save/dupe them and every gun in its class is better than it.

if you zero it correctly , is effective like any other, for range and damage. and if you don't know how to work a distance or set up a grid for a firing range, without a range finder, it's not cz's fault. i killed a lot of people with that and i've seen it also in tents.

Has anyone found a CZ550 in a while? I haven't and I've been looking hard. Something about running around with a deer rifle as my range weapon feels more realistic to me. Looking to pair it with my M4. Was just wondering if anyone has been finding them... where abouts are you finding them? I've only found them in barns and deer blinds, but not in a while.

Found one yesterday. but swapped it for an M14 AIM at a crashed chopper about 5 mins later. lol

I have found more of them recently to be honest, 4 in the last week I think. They are still there you must be looking too close to cities me thinks.

I swair the loot tables have been changed. I used to find them in every second barn I entered. Now they seem to be completely removed from the game. Haven't found or seen one in at least a month.

A few months back I used to find them a few times in 2-3 hours of gameplay. Now it seems they became more rare? I still find them here and then but not as often as before.
