Taking less damage when riding a bike?

Hey,

yesterday I saw an old bike parked in front of an airfield, i ranged it with a marker and it was about 150m away. I was sitting in a bush and checking the area to make sure its owner wouldn't be close and it's not a trap.

Then some dude (fresh spawn, no gun, patrol pack) bolted past me and straight for the bike. He didn't notice me thanks to a ghillie i found. I made sure he was alone before firing, but at that point he already got on the bike. It wasn't parked for a quick escape tho, so he had to take the time to turn it around.

I aimed my enfield and let off the first shot, right in the back; follow-up shot, into the head this time. No reaction, still riding the bike back and forth. Another shot to the chest. Again, no reaction, still riding. Another shot to the chest or arm at least, nope, nothing and he takes off.

For every shot I saw a dot of blood show up confirming the hit, but it didn't kill him, he didn't even pass out.

The server had a very low ping tolerance, (>75 and you'll get kicked), so it wasn't lag (no red or orange chain either) and if he was a hacker, well, he wasn't very good at it...

So, my question is: Do you take less damage from bullets when you are on a bike? Is it as if you were in a vehicle, so some of the damage you should take gets mitigated by the vehicle?

I have experienced Zombie hits as seemingly nerfed when riding a bike.

I've never been shot while on one so I can't speak to that.

I was on a bike surrounded by Zeds and they were able to bat me around like a playground ball with out me really getting hurt....

I have been riding down a huge hill on a bike and taken shot from a fully-automatically weapon. I can confrim i was hit more than 3 times,which should lead me down to the lowest point of blood, but i was good with 7000 or so. I could not break, and i was scared as hell. So in my panic mood, i drove right into a tree,at the feeds of the hill. All good just a shock.

Bikes is really one of the best things you can get your hands on. :)

When you are in a vehicle, any kind of vehicle, zombies cannot hit you. That includes the bike.

I've shot people off bike's.. I don't think they get more life. Not sure what happened here.
