uniqueLOL 21 Posted September 26, 2012 Basically, people who run private hive servers usually tweak their server settings and the game itself so that it runs a lot better. The server-side tweaks these guys do are really working pretty well, and the DayZ staff would like to open up the community to share their settings to make the game overall a better game to play. This does not remove Public hives, this is basically an outcry to the community to lend a helping hand while they focus most/all of their energy towards the Standalone. A Matt Lightfoot with the same picture shows up on the first page. Not sure how a user name to a mostly server side application is going to induce DDOS attacks anyhow... QuartzOne 7 Posted October 18, 2012 to these who missed some point in it : Dev team is working on Standalone as hard as they can.but on the other hand they dont want to throw mod project since ppl had to pay for Arma II(there was enought whinin threads about it in the past) plus ppl want to play somethink while waiting for standalone.The way is : team up with private hive owners to keep the mod up so we wont get upset :).p.s.
