Track files

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Does ARMA2 / DayZ support anyway to view track files , to replay events later?

If not, would be interested to hear developers thoughts on having something like this in dayZ (not as any immediate priority).

i.e. something similar to DCS Warthog,Blackshark etc

Even if the replay was limited to a 3rd person view locked to your character...it would be useful to:

Record videos later (not need FRAPs running during game play)

Gives you less of an excuse to falsely claim it was a hacker taking you down.

You can learn from what you did wrong in the moments before death.

thanks

Could be difficult with a persistent system. In BF2 you only had a small window for each round, in DayZ it can take hours and would create tons of data.

Meh, I don't think it would be that bad if it just stored whatever server data was required (time of day, weather etc.) and then just recorded key presses and put it all together again when you replay it, like demos in FPS games. The file sizes would be slightly bigger, obviously, but then again you don't have to record a demo if you don't want to.
