So I went to this server to give it a try because I am actually looking for a server with custom weapons not normally in the mod in it. So off I go to give it a shot and I spawn outside Electro, fair enough, off I go to take a peak and gear up. Find a Lee Enfield in a building and immediately hear a chopper flying overhead. Admin sends the message "Get in the chopper for a free ride".

Now i'm suspicious by nature, and a bandit by nature, so I go into the firehouse to get a rifle of some sort. No such luck, I see a ghilli with a M4SD (heard the shots) running across the street looking for me. I put a round in him, and he keeps running back to the chopper now. Second shot misses and then the guy in the chopper opens up on him and kills him. Sweet.

Chopper flies off, one man down, I go to loot the corpse. Corpse is fully geared minus the GPS and a side-arm so I loot everything and take off. New M4SD and AS50 for me, good start on this server. The chopper goes north of Cherno and levels off, so I go into the woods and range it and then blow the engine apart with the AS50. Chopper crashes, everyone dies, i'm pleased. It's about this time I see another chopper flying up to the crash of the other and I wonder... how many damn choppers are on this server?

Chopper lands, player gets out and once again admin sends the message "I see you XXXX and XXXX, come to the chopper for a free ride guys." Okie doke, free ride? Sure i'll take a free chopper. I open up on the chopper as it's takes off, engine goes red but it doesn't crash and the player ( I assume the admin ) gets out. I put three rounds into him, one hits, he goes down. So this is the admin from before, I wonder what gear he has now since he has a chopper. Oh look, fully kitted out minus the ghilli suit AGAIN. Least he has the common decency to have an M9 and a GPS this time.

It's as i'm looting him that the admin teleports behind me and opens up with what I assume was an AKM. I have enough time to type out "Lol cheating admins" before he finally gets a head shot. My advice, steer clear of the server. It's not legit, and the admins aren't legit. Fair game if this is the kind of thing you are looking for, but I wouldn't recommend wasting time here.

US999 was actually the first PRIVATE SERVER that I decided to check out. I'd spent the past couple hours trying to find a decent/stable server on the hive that was on daytime at that time for me. I've only just recently started playing and wanted to get the feel of things without wasting more time than needed or being bombarded and getting bad impressions (hackers/snipers on every hill) from overcrowded servers. So I said wth.. I'll check one out. His (DAY ONLY) and low ping had me sold..

I happened to join up just a few hours after your incident (finding this post out of being curious and doing some research). Come to find out, you met peter.. the ADMIN of that PRIVATE SERVER.. Which had been going around welcoming new-comers to the server. Offering them a ride wherever they wanted, stopping by crash sites along the way to help them gear up a bit.. Our experiences are quite different here but could have easily went the same way.. Had I chosen your route or you chosen mine. I had just spawned and within seconds heard a heli flying my way.. Knowing I just spawned with nothing but my bare hands.. I figured, ok.. I'll meet him, nothing to lose.. I ran to where he was landing since he was obviously landing for me, for one reason or another.. Figured I'd make the process easier/faster whichever way it was going to go. I jumped in the heli and we took off..

Few words were said. Asked if I was new. Where I'd like to go. I was just along for the ride to see where it took me. B-line to a crash site. First thing I notice is custom weaponry. FN FAL with NV.. And at this point spotted the thermal scope on his .50 when he jumped out.

Met peter again today. Took me for a ride, helped me out a bit some more.. Noticed plenty of vehicles in good condition. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this server when its up.

Moral of the story? : It IS a PRIVATE SERVER.. That isn't connected to the official HIVE in any way. It doesn't have to adhere to the official rules in any way. Some can be classified as "Fun Servers". With custom content and with admins that are a little bit more involved in the running of the server. Admins should have advantages to knowing whats going on in their server. Granted they shouldn't always 'take advantage' of that to grief or waste someones time but to deal with grievers/time wasters is up for grabs. And that's partly why those handy tools are built into some of the server control bundles.. Things like the location of every player, crash site and vehicle.. All mapped out right there for you..Ability to add or remove any vehicle, weapon, crash.. Things a proper admin should have access to.. Don't shoot the guy who took the time to put all those things there for you or ya, he'll probably have some fun with you.. All in all I enjoy the server..

Moral of the story : If you make a server and people come to the server to play the game as it was meant to be played (sandbox) then don't get mad when your chopper is shot out from under you twice. Furthermore, don't hack simply so you can grief the people who killed you because you're mad at them. I don't care who you are on a server or what you're doing, if you want to be a carebear then be a carebear but don't get mad when someone shows up who is not.

By what you're saying it's ok to hack as long as I own the server and as long as it's a private hive. It's ok to grief people on my own server because i'm the admin and if you don't like that shit, tough. I mean like I said, no harm no foul, I killed the admin twice and apparently pissed him off enough he decided to teleport to me and grief. All said and done, it's a fail server, good luck with your brony community though :)
