I'd recomend a glock. I watched FPSrussia do a video on it, and damn can it take a beating, while also holding more rounds. (18rnd clip vs 8? Citation needed of course)

I looked at Glocks and played with glocks but I prefer A .45acp gun and i love iconic 1911's also the highes cal glock i have ever seen was a .40.. i like stopping power and a 1911 will give you said power...Also i seen a silencer for my 1911 and it makes it look sexy as fuck!

What're you gonna do when food and water runs out?

Also, we need to think about nutrition, beans aren't a cure all. In fact, in an actual survival situation, canned beans would be pretty useless.

But hey, Chef Boyardee is awesome no matter what.

Food and water can't run out - convert sea water to fresh water with electricity, and grow crops with hydroponics; no soil required. Gather seeds from the previous generation grown.

It's a great zombie book, I would recommend it.

Anyway, one reason that it wouldn't work is that zombies are already dead, so they don't need oxygen. They wouldn't sink deep enough to be crushed by the immense pressure in the deeper parts of the ocean either. Basically they would float there. Eventually they'll find they're way to your boat, whether it be through the current, you going towards them, or just their movement. If they are to get on your boat, where would you go? If you go in the ocean you'll likely die from sea life, or more likely, the temperature of the water. You can't swim to land in that temperature. It's a horrible death waiting to happen. Lol

Considering the amount of crops you would need, factoring the growing rate the the fact that you still need protein (which beans will only get you so far) I don't think it would be enough. What about things like vitamin C?

I'm just making sure we get our bases covered because let's be honest, if we plan together now we're less likely to shoot each other later. =P

I wasn't talking about Day Z zombies, I was talking about the stereotypical zombies. Assuming that we are talking about Day Z zombies, it would likely be a more stable plan.

The amount of crops is no object, a test program called Mars 500 used a small greenhouse to not only sustain its occupants in terms of food, but also to recycle their carbon dioxide back into breathable oxygen. You could theoretically have a boat that is airtight, if the "zombie virus" happened to be airborne. The boat solution covers all bases.
