what does battleeye ban do?

Recommended Posts

do they ban the IP so the player cannot connect to any server?

cause in the non-steam version there no account registration or anything so how would they ban people?

cant you just make a new profile or use a new computer and play again?

It's tied to the cd key.

The steam version doesn't even use your steam account for registration, it still uses a cd key like the non-steam version.

I am sure you are just curious, has nothing to do with the recent ban wave. Don't listen to smasht_AU, it is connected to your brain waves and will block you from ever accessing the game again.

BattleEye bans CD key. However, from reading some of the hack forums some people have experienced being banned, buying a new CD key and having that CD key instantly banned before they have even joined a game. Not everyone has experienced this though. I presume there is a workaround. I think instant bans might be related to Steam.
