You'll see a performance boost.Ok thanks for the answer, and i also had one more question. So lately I've been playing single player with no lag at all. But when i get online it's almost unplayable with all the lag. My ping varies from 90 to 200 ping. Is there a way to fix my ping to a lower number or something? thanks! christopherwright_75@hotmail.co.uk 109 Posted September 22, 2012 Depends what Phenom II you have if its a decently clocked Deneb or Thuban (955BE,965BE,980BE,960T,1055T,1090T,1100T) the FX is going to be a downgrade in most games and a sidegrade in anything else. If your going for an AM3+ board, DDR3 etc either wait a short while for FX Piledriver or buy another Phenom II (965BE costs about £80 these days), FX bulldozer was a gaming flop its not really worth the money its dropped in price lately as its due to be replaced by FX piledriver very soon. If you must buy FX bulldozer get 8120 and overclock it heavily but it wont game any better than a cheaper OC'd Phenom II 965BE.All that said best money right now is on an Intel i5 and a z77 motherboard if you can afford that. Kimberlah 94 Posted September 23, 2012 I'd get an AMD Phenom II X6, they are great to overclock, they're a bit old but when overclocked they can be considered the fastest CPU's AMD has.

christopherwright_75@hotmail.co.uk 109 Posted September 23, 2012 Phenom II X6's cost alot now more than they can justify being worth, I run one clocked at 4.0GHz but i got it back when they cost sensible prices. From a gaming point of view the X6 is pointless though most games wont even fully utililise a quad let alone a hex, add to that the Deneb core Phenom II X4's are actually slightly better clock for clock than the Thuban X6's and currently you can get a Deneb core 965BE for £80 makes it about the best gaming option AMD has right now. Venzire 76 Posted September 24, 2012 It'll run pretty much every game smoothly but not many games utilise the full power of a 6 core and all of its cores.
