This game might drive you over the edge of reason but you will love it. You will dream about it, and duck when a helicopter flies over your house/office, and find yourself appreciate a good bush or wall in real life. I have bad days but oh the good days are wonderful and filled with fun and joy. Got to love dayz. :beans:

recommendation DO not join populated servers they tend to have alot of hackers. Try finding a private hive.

I did and i love the game without any hacker and alot of active admins.

Currently playing on Lingor Island because I like it more then chernarus to be honest.

Alright, I have some questions. Managed to get hold of some weapons and then night came. I had a flashlight and one of those lighting things that come in blue, yellow and red. How do I select them to throw/use them? I can only select to hold my guns.

There's nothing you can do to completely avoid hackers. However, if you don't mind playing them, servers with less people generally have less hackers. Also if you manage to get on a private server (one with a password given out to a select group of people such as for a clan), there would probably be very little hacking going on. Have fun playing DayZ!

Adding on to that: Try to connect to official @hive servers, as those are the ones owned by the Dayz team, and thus they can deal with any reported hackers.

Edit: Another part is, private servers aren't usually connected to @hive, so if you ever want to join a public one, you're gonna have to start over.
