ARMA2 Weapons that offer no extra tactical advantage.

Hey all (and hopefully Rocket),

I admit; I have not searched for other posts like this one... I figured there would be many.

I want to suggest that future releases of the mod and/or standalone could include weapons like the L1152/3, L85 LSW, G36A, MK12 Spr...

I think there is little reason these guns should not be included because they offer no extra tactical advantage - unlike those damn AS50 TWS's that keep spraying my beans across the asphalt.

What do you all think?

L85 is but I am refering to the LSW, which is the support version (LMG).

A: Nope, they are not. but there was not many other options as ArmA2 is a military simulator. For the standalone, we are working on others but these won't be required to be finished for the standalone to be release, in other words the new weapons (more like what you would find at home) will be available as they get done, some of which may be when Alpha is released, rest of them will be next year as they get made. I think successfully raiding and finding military caches will be important, and will give you advanced items - but (i know from personal experience) maintaining this equipment is not easy. Durability, batteries, etc... will even these problems out I think.

Give me an AR-15, civilian variant of a military M4.

you would still find m4s since the US military went over to help same with british military. its not just russian militaryt hats there...however i dont agree with american weapons being found at the russian airfield there should be more aks and svds

AK's everywhere, probably at every household.

I was referring to the apocalypse in general (in America -as that's where I hail from), as I've never been to a make believe city.

So say, Moison-Naggant's, AK's, Mausers, Rugers, etc. . .

can't be done... sure, you can make good loot rarer then it already is but eventually everybody will be running around with automatics.

As fot T80s - why not? The military would use them! ... but fuel would not last (which could be a head-scratcher when attempting to make a realistic version of Dayz SA).

Obviously you haven't played the original Arma 2/OA. You would know that you did a shittone of military work there.

Hence the airports, the broken down HMMVs, the tanks...etc.

Day Z is not ARMA. It's a different beast. What would be the point of fighting zombies, who can't even use tools, with tanks? Just play ARMA for your PvP action.

Your all coming at this from different angles...

If you can find AR-15s, then its likely you would find other varied guns, like the SL8.

If the game suggests the armed forced have interviened then there would be military loot like L85 LSWs and L115A3s.
