What does 3p:off/on and CH:off/on in server names mean?

Recommended Posts

I keep seeing 3P:on/off and CH:on/off in server names, what does it mean?

Also, what do those GMT+/- mean? It isnt timezones because I live in GMT+1, and I saw a GMT-4 server (which means its 5 hours 'earlier'). It is was 19:30, means it should be 14:30. I joined, and the server was nighttime. Wtf?

3P is Third Person View and CH is crosshairs. Play with them off for max immersion!

You are correct about the GMT-stuff, but the descriptions happens to be inaccurate sometimes.

The 3P:on/off means that it either has a 3rd person mode, or it doesn't. You can activate the 3rd person mode with the Enter key on your numpad.

CH is short for Crosshair, so basically if the server states CH:on, it has a crosshair on your weapon even when you're not aiming with it.

Ah, ok. Thanks alot for the quick reactions!

3P is kinda lame since it lets you look over small walls while you're behind them, I discovered that rather quickly :P
