Hackers rampant at NWA, admins doing nothing?

I hadn't had many encounters with hackers or their gear until recently when i nearly died because of one then was killed along with the rest of a server when I logged on (was just about to raid heli crash site as well) I then went to NW airfield and found what must've been all the vehicles on the server and a couple of hacked weapons which I buried with a zed. (RGO Frag, AK-107 PSO, MK 48 Mod 0 camo)

I came across what I'm assuming was the hacker whilst trying to hide a car (that I stole from him) and he didn't kill me strangely just looked to loot his car (obviously looking for his weapons that I had got rid of), well I tried to kill him but god mode can prove to be a bitch so I got shot but disconnected before he could kill me. This was on DE1348.

I then logged on this morning to find two AS50 TWS in tents at NW airfield. I mean WTH? Are admins completely blind to what is going on. It's not like these hackers were being subtle. Forgive me if there isn't admins on every server or whatever I don't really understand how they work. I just don't get how hackers get away with stuff this blatant. Also this isn't a rant or complaining, just an observation :)

For Admins its sometimes really hard to find a prove who have hacked it,we can only try to read the logs and if your lucky you find something, and admin cant Remove/add/make player doing xy/teleport/godmode etc. things. So even if the Hacker got banned the Spawned weapons will still stay in the tents if they are saved there.

the only way to prove someone is hacking is to have a hacker look for him.

need to have an abilty to see if people tp or have the server announce something in global changel of this person moved to fast etc.

Yeah, i agree with Paddy there.....sometimes it's difficult on-the-fly to ban or prove who hacked what but given a little time in the logs it's not that hard to. As a legit player, and providing the tents were not bugged, I would have buried the hacked items on a dead zed, saved the tents empty and maybe alerted an Admin to the issue as they should be able to acsess the logs and see who scripted the items in.

Logs don't necessarily help as a hacker using a .dll injector doesn't even make it to the logs so you'll never tell what they're doing. Basically, don't play on the public servers - find a private hive that is admin'd well. Admins can,

- Tell where every player is on the map and what gear

- Tell where every vehicle is on the map and what gear it contains

- Check where every tent is and what gear it has in it

By keeping an eye on the behaviour of players, you can tell who is cheating and who isn't (it just takes a lot longer). Basically if Player A keeps finding hidden items, magically kills you, weird things start happening around you when he's on - that's enough to ban the guy. Even if he's innocent sorry - coincidence is not your friend and we're not going to risk it,.

Sadly it's not that easy to find good public server. I've tried several and was script killed too and admins were nowhere to be seen.

If somebody could PM me name of good european private sever, I'd be gratefull.

I would've got rid of the hacked AS50's but didn't have enough time to no doubt by now someone has taken them or got rid of them. I can't remember what server it was which doesn't help. As for alerting an admin how would I actually do that?

Yeah it is, MK 48 Mod 0 is a real weapon but the (camo) at the end I'm pretty sure isn't part of any in game weapon. I checked the picture on the DB and Wiki, from what I can tell all he's done is add custom camo to it. I wasn't gonna risk taking it though incase it got blamed on me so it got buried along with the AK and grenade.

Hmm, until my tent ate it, I had one I found in a tent in Stary that most definitely was camo'd.

Did not delete my backpack when putting it in there either...which is supposed to be a giveaway of it being hacked in.

Yeah the MK 48 Mod 0 is camo'd but this was a different camo and the MK 48 Mod 0 doesn't have '(camo)' at the end.

I've been playing DayZ for about a month now. I really like the concept and the gameplay in general. Up until the last 2 weeks I didn't have any problems with hackers. Now, its almost a nightly occurance.

The first time I saw it was a buddy and me where at a random building east of Balota airfield. We were in cover and watched a truck drive by on the road by the military camp. Shortly after we started taking fire. At the same time we both died.

Last night I was watching my same friend being chased by a bandit. I had a sniper rifle and was trying to take the shot. He went behind a building and teleported. We watched a bit and finally decided he wasn't coming back. We walked over to the hospital (we were in Cherno) and met up with a guy (in a girl mod) with an ax. I was in TS and kept telling my friend not to let him get behind us or if he shoots me kill him. He finally got a weapon and I kept watching him, then on the way to the grocery store he disappeared, but typed that he was outside. We didn't think much. A few minutes later I found him in a random corner scoping me with the sniper rifle he found.

We decided to huff to it to the vehicle spawns north of town and he disappeared again. I thought maybe he got lost as we were darting in and out of building to evade zombies and he was a little ways behind me. Keep in mind, my friend wanted to kill him early on, but being a nice guy...I mean sucker, I said "No let's just keep an eye on him".

Anyway, we were almost to the hospital north or Cherno when it looked like my game was reloading. I saw another landscape loading up and I thought "great the server glitched me to the coast". Nope. It was my first teleport. I appeared on a small island with the same she-male guy and after looking to the side to figure out what was going on, he shot me dead. lol

I've gotten so used to getting geared out and then dying by hackers its not a big deal anymore. Its really sad they are so rampant in this game. Its a really good game, but its going downhill fast with these clowns.
