What would you have done?

I joined a server and went to check the NE airfield and to my suprise I saw someone there and he was looting.

He had a camo skin on so I couldn't tell if he was a bandit or not. I decided to spare the guy and try and talk to him,

he didn't respond so I just watched through my binocs for a while and saw he was loot spawning or farming whatever.

After a while I started to feel like it was kind of cheap that he was doing this (about 40 mins of farming)

So I pulled out old reliable (m14) and took aim but just as I was doing this he started to run away from the base :), soon after he came back to see if the loot was back so I decided that was enough and I killed him sadly he was a survivor so I felt bad.

but my question is what would you have do if you saw someone cheating! and I'm not talking about hacking just a player.

I felt like with all the hacking these days people should to atleast play the game fairly

I wouldn't feel to bad about it. They would of probably shot you if they had the chance.

I wouldn't use the "cheating" or "farming" as a reason to have killed him, Him just being there circling about makes him a valid enough target to shoot, survivor or not.

Him not repsonding is reason enough to kill him.

If you even go to the NW airfields there is such a high chance someone will kill you haha. I would have done the same because I'm a bandit and I've tried to be friendly before and that never turns out good so I always shoot first.

Killed him, but then I (attempt to) kill most people. Though I'd never consider him a cheater, not in the slightest. Especially how much cheating goes on in this game for easy loot, this guy was taking risks at least.

You are nicer than most for even trying to make contact in the first place, death is just part of the game and I am sure he just thought you were a hacker anyways.

Considering how many ways there are to cheat in this game low level loot farming hardly qualifies the person for the cheater label (you did say NEAF right, that place has zero loot I would want in the first place). I barely consider server hopping to be cheating with the current state of hacking/duping.
