Updates! WTF?

I have done a clean install of the game.

Everything loads fine.

I can play with no problem.

Then in the corner it says something like updating 1.170

It prints a random ID number and about 5 seconds later my ping jumps to 3000.

Has nothing at all to do with DayZ. Arma 2 is getting very regular updates. Deal with it. This is a good thing...

The updates are for us Arma players. DAYZ is most likely a secondary consideration on the whole believe it or not.

I understand the annoyance though.

I don't think it's from the arma 2 updates I did a clean install seems to be battle eye.

Well, your original post has vastly changed, so our replies seem a little odd.

Do a search here about this issue, I cant remember offhand the exact fix, but it has been addressed.
