DayZ performance, with Arma's expansions

Recommended Posts

Well didn't know where to put this, so here it is.

I just learned that the PMC and BAF expansions, aparently make your game more crisp (on some models anyway).

My question is: Does it have an impact on performance?

Since the expansions fiddle around with graphics quality, does it mess around with performance?

Does it have performance tweaks, or it just goes even slower because of all the nice graphics?

it will run slower if the graphics are higher with improved textures

but im guessing they would optomise the game abit on each expansion

While the models look alot better with the BAF and PMC DLC's the increase in resolution textures is not going to cause any kind of major performance hit

The expansions just allow you to use the models within them on DayZ so you'll get high res textures on those models. The only performance hit you'll take is that your PC will have to deal with those higher res textures. It shouldn't make a massive difference.
