Hacks or a glitch?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to playing DayZ, I'm about four or five days in and in that time I've died in a very strange way three times.

I'll be running along in the woods, minding my own business when I start to bleed slowly. 6 to 10 points of blood being lost per tick. I'm unable to halt the blood loss with bandages. It doesn't matter how many bandages I throw at it, the bleeding just won't stop.

So, is this some script kid doing something to me or is it just a very rare glitch that I've been unlucky enough to encounter three times in three days?

Are you using debug or default? If you are using debug the HUD won't show you dying due to hunger/thirst.

If you are on default and nothing is red then it must be the blood fairy stalking you.

Is your hunger/thirst blinking? If you have the debug monitor on your stats will be perma green and you won't be able to tell when you're hungry/thirsty.

To turn it off, hit esc, options, game options, at the bottom the UI or debug monitor either says default, debug, or none, make sure it says default.

It definitely isn't hackers though.

Sounds like hunger, thirst or virus.

As said above, if you have the debug on, you won't be able to tell if you're hungry, thirsty or cold.

You are sick, the only thing that will cure it is antibiotics :) but you will stop bleeding at 6000. Best bet until you find the antibiotics is too stock up on cooked meat and eat everytime you hit 11200.

Yeah, usually when you're bleeding from a shot or something other then that you lose a lot more blood then 6-10. It sounds like you're food or thirst might be low and that could be the cause because I've never had this happen to me before or even heard of it.
