Chat problems in DayZ, please help.

When playing Dayz, i run into other players and they can hear me just fine, but their voices are extremely low. Yes, i am direct chat. Yes, i have attempted to fix the problem through audio options in-game, but it doesn't worth either. Can anyone help?

Microphone slider is how loud other players hear you.

VON (voice over network) slider is how loud you hear other players.

If they are both already at max and you are still having problems hearing other players you could try lowering the other sliders for music/radio/effects etc and then turning your overall windows volume up?

Iv'e done that, i have no idea what else i can do. It's not in my headset because i can hear everything else just fine.

It could just be the players you have encountered need to raise their own microphone slider.
