Limited Zombie Spawns in City per player

Lets say I'm in Cherno, and 40 Zombie spawn in the city because of me. I kill them all, but more just keep respawning. Now Zombie or previous civilians wouldn't just keep coming out of nowhere. So I think if you run into a city and X amount of Zombies spawn in there area, more don't spawn in unless you move away from the city. So more and more don't just keep spawning in, this will allow people to lock down positions/camps/bases.

Zombies are hardly a challenge as it is. no. In fact keep them coming, preferably tenfold.

They aren't challenging, more of an annoyance. When I'm looting I have to worry about people seeing all the zombies that keep respawning near me. If someones trying to set up a base/camp and clear out all the zombies in the area they'll just keep spawning in.

I agree that when u clear the area of zombies more just spawn in and it's a pain as it seems endless. However... imagine the population of a small town.. 50,000 to 200,000. So to clear the town would take some ammo :)

and after the zombies in the city are obliterated, a spawn timer begins and when it reaches a certain time, some zombies spawn in the city limits. maybe, or when half of the zombies some spawn in the city outskirts due to the noise the fight is producing, something like that

Right... small. lol

The Zombie mechanics will be changed in the standalone, the spawning will be one of those, I'm quite sure. With the mod I don't think you can do much more at the moment.

I like the idea of a tick counter for the town population (probably a fair bit less than 200K , depending on memory allocation) but a respawn timer would have to be something less than 10 minutes (not long at all in game)

I think the problem most people have is, when you get cornered, in cherno flats for example, 1 entrance/exit. Any zeds you kill simply spawn again outside within seconds giving you an endless stream of them. If you look out the window, down onto the street, or round the corner, you will see nothing, because the Zeds just spawn at your door and come in to say "Hi".

I don't want to propose any changes to make the game easier, but the current mechanic has made my palm and my face very well aquainted.
