Hosting DayZ

O.K, I want to Host DayZ from my P.C. and play at the same time.

I want to invite friends also, just like you would host other games. How do i do it, I am not wealthy enough to pay for a server and I would only have 5 - 10 players at once.

Can this be done? I haven't seen any posts for this only server rental ones etc.

Does this even come under private hive?

the reason you dont get a response is coz you are looking the wrong place. go to tunngle forums, arma II section, and find exactly what you need. :thumbsup: ^_^

Sure it could be done, but u would prob end up setting up & running a server on your machine.

Search google for setting up private dayz servers i.e bliss / anti-rocket etc...

Then u would need to launch the game seperately connecting to it local & giving your friends the ip addresses aswell.

And hope your internet upload is good enough for your friends... and your pc can handle running the game / server / hive database & your router/internet doesnt choke on the connections

Honestly it would be ten times easier to find another server to play on, maybe a passworded one if u wanted. There are afew non-pvp servers around

And that way if u computer is off / or friends can still play on the other server, instead of waiting for u to start up the server again
