thoxon 26 Posted June 13, 2012 Never have I had to make a fire to keep warm. Or use a heatpack in emergency situations. I've been out in the pouring rain at night and my tempture stays at 42. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen it get below 36, ever. I know this feature hasn't been fully flushed out yet, but it needs to be revamped, because right now it's not working as it should. Make the tempature system more unforgiving, please.

The game became firewood collection simulator. Before hatchets I spent my time hunting down wood to make a fire to warm up to go get more wood. Just got to make it in the open during day = no change or up if you're cold, in the woods during the day it stays the same, going into water chills you. At night, you get cold depending on where you are at varying rates, except inside where you should warm up, but running should keep your temp stable as when you run you do stay warm. tso 5 Posted June 13, 2012 I kind of like it as is.I sat in a bush in a hill overlooking a town scouting for a buddy while he raided some key locations.Night time mild wind? Prone most the time?By time we were done my temp was already at 30-32.I had a heatpack to cover the unexpected drop in temperature but otherwise would have possibly gotten ill or in danger if making a camp fire. It's mostly noticeable for any semi large time of sitting still in the open. Most the time people are moving about or keep in shelter. It seems mostly correct they keep warm that way.Could maybe be drop a little faster in the open when moving about in rain/wind but otherwise it seems reasonably quick. Jia 1 Posted June 13, 2012 I've been out in the pouring rain at night and my tempture stays at 42. You can run a marathon in the winter and you won't get sick because your body generates enough heat. If you're jogging or sprinting in-game, dropping temperatures shouldn't be an issue. You could try laying still outside while it rains - I'm sure your temperature will go down then.
