50 - 90 fps on start 10-15 fps after a few minutes of gameplay (HELP!)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've been playing Dayz for a few weeks now and ever since I started playing after a few minutes of gameplay my fps instantly drops and locks at 10 - 15 fps. I Have tried every recommended fix, such as tweaking ingame video settings, Modifying my ArmA config files and even updated every single driver for every last bit of my hardware and software. I already know its not the servers I play on because I play with a group of 5 friends who run the game fine on all the servers we have been on together. Restarting my computer temporarily fixes the problem, but then after a few minutes I drop back down to 10 fps. Any help would be appreciated.

Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

MSI MS-7641

AMD FX -6100 Six-Core Processor (6CPUs) ~3.30GHz

4 gigs of ram

DirectX version 11

AMD Radeon HD 6870

If you need any additional info just let me know.

Try getting some more ram bro, i usually get 10-15 FPS on servers with low ping but more than 20 players. Yet you have better everything than me, except i have 6 more GB's of ram. and if it involves internet, I live by a freeway, so based on traffic, i get 2-10 mbps

Motherboard-Gigabyte GA 990FXA UD3

Graphics ATI Radeno 6570

Processor AMD Sepmron 145 Processor (1 Core @ 2.8 GHz)

RAM=10 Gigabytes

Well, normally it will do that because of heat issues, however; it could be an issue with the ram (as stated in the above post)

im gonna start chargin people for this^ lol im jk, have fun!

Your fix/vid is a pita, ramdisk is not required to make this game run smoothly, all that is required is a basic knowledge of pc's & gaming

along with a fast cpu.

Servers dictate how well the game will run, a good fast srver = good fast Dayz, a shit slow server = you figure it out, thanks for your input but the grand saviour of dayZ that aint.

Good luck.
