So a hacker gave my buddy an as50 thermal, and then he gave it to me, the issue we have is even though we perfectly zero in the gun it doesnt hit anything. could it not work in game? i makes the shot noise and everything but doesnt hit

The gun usually doesn't work for worthless dickheads who try and gain an unfair, hacked in advantage over unsuspecting wanderers. Try using a legitimate weapon, maybe you'll have better luck.
