Need a Server Host

Im looking for a new server hosting company any one have any idea's other than Vilayer

um, I tried HFB and they didnt really work out real well, then went to Vilayer and they basically were more stable, but tbh no passwording massive private hive is a failed plan. I had a nice series of back and forth with them today and will be posting the entirety of that ticket to these forums later.

At this point I would suggest you look to another game, or find someone who is running a truly private hive. IE, not under some truly strict ruleset that you have no say over. You might want to pm one of those fellows running a private hive in their own datacentre and see if you can get them to set you one up on the side as well.

and what i cant figure out is why they think that the Battleye.cfg file is top secret

I run multiple servers (dedicated high-speed "open" servers and private hives) through HFB and haven't had an ounce of problem from them. Quite the opposite actually. HFB support have been friendly and patient and always on the ball to help me un-fuck whatever I fuck up.

I've tried Defcon and Vilayer and well. defcon isnt very helpful and they really dont know much to assist you and Vilayer, omfg shoot me, they were total jerks, 3 days and they could not set up a server and then i get shit from them when I ask fo rmy money back. Good luck!

You have no server because you had us reinstall it, additionally you wanted access to proprietary .sqf files. Check your panel, it is back.

see this is the kinda shit you get from them yes i had them reinstall the server 12 hours ago i got a confirmation e-mail saying it was up and ready well control panel say a totaly diff server and port

yes i asked to see the object.sqf file to make sure the vech where spawning

but battleye isnt a sgf file i asked for access to the battleye.cfg and i was told no because of the same thing its proprietary SO SIR YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT

You are not receiving a full refund because we did render a service. Simply because it stops during the period you purchased does not entitle you to a refund for the services which were properly rendered. (service was properly rendered after a 4 day signup period and you guys mucking up my server numerous times with ghost pid's and somehow supplying me with 2 servers but then shutting down one without notice also) then they tried to blame that on me for changing the map to lingor, wow!

This is over my server which was suddenly moved from Aus to Seattle, without notice or warning, my ticket was then closed and my account cancelled so I could no longer communicate with them via tickets.

Stay away from ViLayer if you want to be treated decently

All this over ~$25, had they of just honoured the 30 day money back guarantee they'd not be getting a bad rep right about now

I'd recommend doing your due diligence by talking to different hosts. The main things to ask would be what resources are dedicated to your server (CPU/ram?) and what kind of support do they offer (live? ticket-system? email? How long do their responses take?) etc.

You don't get a full refund when you had the server for half a month.You get a pro-rated one. There is no 30 day money back guarantee for game servers.

man wtf, those morons I took out that jossy.info the 1st day I setup the server, which if what my refund states was over 2 weeks ago, now someone else has my server config, WTF IS GOING ON NOW :LOL

Aye, once we fill up the servers we have we might start expanding - what country were you hoping for?

Edit: Oh, probably Australia :P - we don't really have a PoP there but we do have one in Singapore which should produce good pings - what's 216.12.196.114 ping like for you?

SurvivalServers has been great for me. Speedy response time whenever I have a concern and professional about everything. They even listened when I brought up a few things and made changes to follow.

We use Razor Server hosting for our server. It allows us to whatever we want, whenever we want. Sometimes we just want to play Superpowers instead of DayZ, so we give the people in our server notice that the server will be shutting down in 5 Min or so and then load up Superpowers for us to mess around on. Plus we host our TS on it too.
