nomadyow 4 Posted September 13, 2012 Mostly I play DayZ with a surround sound headset and it sounds pretty good. I recently setup in my home theater with a 7.1 surround sound setup, and a few things kept drawing me out of the immersion factor.1) The ocean always comes out the left and right channels equally when near the ocean. It should either come out directionally, or play in all channels2) Rain. Same as the ocean, it should play in all channelsA little more focus on the sound part of dayz would be awesome!BTW, thunder sounds great in the home theater. Hearing it off in the distance is great! Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted September 13, 2012 I use surround sound and hadn't noticed that. I think it's directional until your pretty close and then It's just a big room filling noise? I guess not. I mean maybe on the coast but I am barely ever there and if I am not for long at all as I run straight inland. sound is great when you can hear where shots are fired, foot steps and stuff. you can tell which direction they come from Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
