Alright so I just got my first kill yesterday. I was in a server with some friends from TMW, they were driving around the the gas station near Solnichniy in a V3S I found days ago, and started taking fire. A sniper had shot them multiple times until the V3S blew up, only one out of the four guys escaped. I was all the way up near the NE airfield upon receiving notice of this and decided to run south to find him. I ran over 4000m to his general location then crawled another 400m so I wouldn't be noticed. I was wearing camo clothing and zombie face skin at the time, so I somewhat blended in with the foliage around me. Some of my friends decided to run back to their bodies and act as a decoy, so I waited. Sure enough I heard a gunshot within at least 300m and one of ours went down. From the sound of it we knew it was a 12.7x99mm, not sure whether a AS50 or M107, but I knew that if I got hit once, it was over. I got up and charged towards the gunshot, my heart pounding like crazy. I never expect to be this scared PVPing in a simulator before, just the the thought of him being anywhere in a ghillie, and using a .50 cal made my hands tremble. I ran through a village just west of Solnichniy, all the way up to the top of the mountain with the small radio tower, and went prone. Trying to calm down in-game and over teamspeak. Soon as I started to relax I saw what looked like a running bush from the corner of my eye, it was him! I tracked him down the mountain, but lost sight quickly, began to shake again thinking he saw me. Sure enough he stopped, turned around and saw me. At that moment I began to zig zag back and forth in front of this cold blooded medic hunter. I'm not sure why but he pulled out his M9SD instead of his M107, (maybe he thought I was a zombie doing the usual zig zag) and he began to take aim. Finally I got a hold of myself and stopped, aimed my M4A1 SD, and unloaded an entire clip on him, from head to toe, he was filled with bullet holes. Finally he dropped. I just killed the medic hunter, pretty sure his name was Vooku or Vooduk. I looted his M107,and ammo, and logged out from the excitement. Finally logged back in, took some more loot, and took a screenshot.

DayZ truly is the only game where I have felt that much emotion, remorse, and relief from getting a kill.

My first real one was me and a random stranger drove up to these 2 guys in ghillies and we mowed them down....

My first kill was a month ago. I was running house to house somewhere north of Zelenogorsk when I Alt-looked behind me. There were two guys tailing me: Some dudes with an AKM and a CZ550.

So I thought, "Okay, if they were not friendly, they'd have killed me by now" So I ran into a red brick house, aimed my gun at the door, and tried to say friendly over Direct Chat.

However, they stormed right in, and then I panicked and filled guy#1's face with lead from my own AKM. Guy#2 tails right after him, and he receives the same fate. I kinda felt bad about them, but in retrospect: They definitely saw me before I ran in, they were asking for trouble.

After I looted some medical and an ALICE pack, I shuffled up north.

I chased down a guy with a hatchet basically was my first kill. My first legit firefight kill was with a frag grenade. I popped it over the stone fence where the guys were and wounded one and killed the other.

First kill was in Balota airfield, by the tents and barwire 'panic box'. I was clearing the towers from their usual loot, when I go down I see a body in the grass. At first I thought it was a dead body of a soldier, then a zombie, but finally it dawned to me that it really was a player, with a drawn Makarov trained at me.

I dashed to my left, dodging a four-bullet barrage from the gun, I take shelter behind a tent, seeing in third-person his movements. After a moment of looking for me and to no avail, he goes up the tower to loot. I then took cover in the entrance near the tower. My heart begins to race a little, I inch closer to get a good look if he's going to come down, suddenly a barrage of bullets graze my head, I shrink into the tent for three minutes in a stand-off. I look more cautiously and behold! He was coming down the ladder!

So My rambo Axe-totting blood kicks in and I rush him as he is inconvenienced by the ladder animation.

Whack!

His chest is bruised badly, and yet has no control of the player.

Whack!

His legs are snapped like burnt flax and he drops like a sack of potatoes.

Whack!

The axe falls upon the spine of the downed fellow, and my axe's thirst is quenched.

Then my rambo blood dissapates and I loot him and run like a giddy little girl.

Was with a friend early game showing him the ropes. We we looting up farm buildings on the coast to get shotty shells and or a primary for him. We were both spread out coming down a hill (sneaking prone because zombies) into some set of three buildings when suddenly chewbacca comes running out of the nearest farm building and heads straight up for our hill making sure to aggro every zombie in sight. My friend swaps from his hatchet to a pistol and asks me to make the call as this guy keeps coming up towards us. I hesitate because we've never killed anybody and I can't see that this guy is armed, but "he's obviously retarded and only going to get us killed with those zombies even if he is friendly" so I open fire with two slugs from my shotgun and start to reload (the rounds dropped a tad more than I expected so no headshot) while my friend shoots out his legs and causes him to drop to the ground. The guy isn't dead quite yet though and it isn't long before we're all exchanging rounds and my friend gets killed (He was low health to start with), I'm bleeding at this point and just about dead myself, trying to shoot something on the ground that was made for stealth and only really having his muzzle flash as a reference for where to drop my bullets. After what seemed like minutes but was really only heartbeats I manage to kill the guy and then start to bandage myself up with about 300, 200, 150 blood remaining when- boom, the server shuts down. We go and find ourselves another server and end up spawning on the coast like you would normally after death, except that both of us still have all our gear and most of the health we'd started the firefight with.

Back in the day off the old bandit skin, when i was a newbie.

I ran into a barn looking for loot, not a clue where i was and a band logged in right in the front of me, i shat bricks and unleashed like 4 makarov mags into him. Even though i had killed him in the first couple of shots. i litterly shit bricks. this was my like first 10 mins in the game lol

My first kill was actually an accident. I found some random guy on the forums to play with when i finally learned the controls of the game. I had spawned in balota and ran into 1 of the hangers. After waiting for him for a bit we eventually met up and he had an enfield in his pack for me, So for some ungodly reason i forgot i have to use the scroll button to open up the inventory and i decided to left click on him with my hatchet out..

My first kill which was really my brothers, basically it consisted of me scrambling for the mic after spooking some guy to tell him we were friendly. My brother was the one actually controlling our character while I was on the mic. So after I yeld we're friendly he crawled back up the stairs thats when my brother pulled the trigger on him XD

Before all the commotion when my brother first saw him I was screaming for him to kill the other player, my brother said "no" thats when I got the mic and said we were friendly :)

After I'd gotten my role down, my buddy found it best if I killed zombies with an SD weapon and he watched for players. This combo came about when apparently my ability to be observant wasn't a constant thing. So I was taking point into the ACT BaAF, he goes rummaging through the tower I took up shop on the stairs, using the q button, iron sites trained on the door. FYI I closed the doors soon as we entered. Anyway, doors bust open! pft pft pft three shots to the center mass with the M4 SD guy comes across the Voice "Friendly friendly' I go ahead tell him to get behind me, peg all the zombies. Told him to get behind me. He patches himself up we give him some meds. He tells us.

"Sorry I was being chased by Bandits" so I take aim at the door again, door bursts open, female survivor model, AKM, on to the chest one to the dome piece, bandit kill for me, guy outside strafes side ways I got one shot off in his leg, few moments later someone died (Corpse outside). My buddy escorts the first guy through the ATC while this is going on, third guy comes running in, 3 to his chest. Clip empty I start calling. "Player, player down stairs wounded, reloading."

My buddy, whom I expected to see meeting me at the junction on the second landing of an ATC isn't there. I run to the roof. While at the bottom of the stairs I hear that terrifying AS 50 shoot echo from inside. So I point up the stairs when I see him peek around.

"He's not down stairs wounded no more..." after all this happened it finally caught up to me and -then- my heart started to race and I was shaking. Friend just laughed at me. 4 encounters roughtly 60 second time frame, 3 kills were made, the only one I got was the bandit kill.

After my friend died while going up stairs for no reason, my other friend had to leave. We were in the Cherno apartments. I stood by to guard the body, and after a while, it sunk into the ground. I looked around the corner and see a dark looking survivor coming up the stairs. Something about him told me he was a bandit, not sure what. He reached the landing I was on, he pulled out his sidearm, an M1911, while I had a pre-nerf Enfield out. He broke my leg, and I shot him a few times in panic. He died, debug called him a bandit, and when I tried to take his backpack, the stairs struck again. I was at very low blood by then, so I had to log out or risk death by stairs. This was a long time ago, as mentioned earlier, pre-nerf.

Just got my first kill yesterday, I have tried to keep away from others. Just killing zombies and try to stay alive.

Sat in Cherno Firestation looking out for movment outside. But I missed that someone got inside and up the stairs.

From nowere a head pops up from the stairs, we starred and all of a sudden he started shoot at me. So I sqeezed my trigger and put a mag in his head.

He died just milliseconds before I did. :-(

After that I ran in to an inactive and let him taste some bullets. Then took his stuff and left him there.

After watching so many videos about dayz I brought it and logged in found myself at "Airfield" I knew these have good loot due to my research and headed in there, on the way I found a dead survivor and grabbed his hatchet and went in the air control tower (via ladder) where I saw a guy! I panicked and killing him and I saw over chat he typed "Hey dude i'm up the stairs!" I looted him found a M9 SD and some ammo which I took and equiped when another guy come running upstairs fully geared up with his gun out and I shot and killed him and when I headed downstairs I saw a guy being eaten by zombies, I shot the zombies off and healed the man. He had broken legs and was trapped inbetween 2 wire fences, He said kill me and i'll come back for my body and I did.

My first 3 kills all around 5 minutes

I didn't want to do it. I am telling you. He made me do it. I was just on my way to cut down a tree for some wood, but...but...this guy came out of nowhere asking for my beans with his M4 CCO pointing to my face. I just flipped out and had a realization that I couldn't die now. I had a family to support and protect from the...the dead. I swung my axe with all my might, it connected, and he shot after my first swing. I swung again, and he shot as well. He got me three times, but I broke his legs and ran around him and finished him. Blood was everywhere, I stood over his body...admiring on what I have done. I picked up his loot and went back on home.

My first real kill happened the other night at the NE Barracks at the NW Airfield. My buddy and I log in about 250m fromt he barracks. He loads up first and tells me there's already Z's in the area. I get and and start scanning the area and find nothing but Z's. We decide that he either left the area or logged. So we move up to the barracks still checking our surroundings just in case and it appears clear. I move into the barracks and check the shower stall for some loot. I see a coyote backpack and think well thats cool but we each already have one. Then all of a sudden the backpack moves and I realize that there's a prone person attatched to it. I'm so surprised that my instant reaction is to open fire. I keep firing untill a second after I hear the flies. There was blood everywhere even dripping off the ceiling. I had a FN Fal and ended up using about 1/2 of the clip. Way more then neccessary and it made so much noise that my buddy took a couple of min killing all the Z's that came charging at us. I think I surprised the guy as much as he surprised me, my reaction just happened to be faster and with an automatic weapon. He had the basic tool kit with not much supplies that we needed. But still a blast.

I don't have a lot of kills, mostly death. I only remember two engagements where I came out ahead.

The first one, I'm sitting on a week-old character and trying to keep him alive. My buddy wants to check the Balota ATC tower. So I say fine, YOU check it, I'll cover you from the trees (north of the tower, past the fence). So I sit there with my AKM and watch him run in. After he runs in, and trucks up the stairs, I see a bandit run in behind him. My buddy only had his M1911 and one mag. I warned over skype that he had confirmed unfriendly company en route, and he stood at the top of the stairs with his .45 trained below. I can't see anything at this point.

Then I hear .45 rounds cap off. My buddy must have hit him good, because he fled to regroup. He came running out of the tower door, changed weapons from a pistol to a rifle, and was heading back inside. I shot him in the back. Semi-auto firing mode, put a good four or five round sinto him and he went down. We had the tower looted, the bandit looted, his body hid, and were GTFO in less than a minute. My heart was thumping in my chest for like twenty. Dude had a PDW and an AK-74.

The next one, the same buddy and I were looting Cherno's supermarket. We were in the main front area, my buddy was behind the refrigerator counter by the door to the back room, and I was in the front corner of the store by the front door. Someone came running in through the front door wearing camo that I've never seen except on private hive "hacker" sandboxes. He didn't see me, but he saw my buddy and started firing his assault rifle. My buddy had good cover behind that fridge counter. Then, the attacker turned and saw me. Crouching in the corner behind no cover at all, with nothing but my Makarov and a load of sh*t in my pants.

My buddy opened fire with his own assault rifle, most likely saving my skin because otherwise the attacker would have lit me up. Attacker decides to take cover, and runs for the opposite wall from me, around the corner from my buddy and out of his sight. I see his head pop out around one of those shelves, and figure I got nothing to lose. I start plugging him in the head with my Makarov. At this point I'm practically choking on adrenaline and "in the zone," and every shot was landing. I've never shot this well on purpose. Instead of returning fire on me, he LOGGED OUT. We couldn't believe it, we were there for a good minute before we closed in on where he was to find him gone. We had both exits covered, he did not slip out.

I scared a *bandit*. Into *logging out*. With a *Makarov*. His name in the game was Samhein.

I got my first murder in a very similar way today. I just got the Hero skin and was gearing up around Elektro, I was climbing the stairs to the top of the tower at the fire station and when I got there I turned to see another player sat there with a shotgun. He didn't fire, maybe he saw the skin and thought friendly, but I panicked and shot him with my Kobra. Wierd thing was I shot him a bit first and stopped, he still did nothing and I continued to fire. There was much swearing at myself after as I might not have needed to kill him but it gave me a murder and my humanity went from 5300 to -4100.... Sorry whoever you were it was an accidednt, I've decided to go unarmed medic for a while now as penance.

My first and only kill to date was at devils castle. I was heading out and noticed zombies were already spread out and roaming around, and just as I noticed that I saw a guy probing to my right and I saw a weapon. I unloaded into him without hesitation. He started saying something over chat as finished firing and I felt really bad for a while cause I don't think he was going to shoot. But it actually made me pretty nervous and I was shaking a bit lol! Never had a game do that to me before which is why I love dayz!

my first kill, got spawned in edge of debug forest, find a tent camp, every tool in game, nvgs, rangefinder, coyote, as-50, l85, m14 aim, gillie, cooked meat and assorted medical supplies including antibiotics. Then I look at the map and it says 'atv', about 400m away, so I start heading towards it. Then, whilst running to where the atv supposedly is, i hear footsteps, me crapping myself, hide underneath a pine tree. Then, two guys show up and pause, i imagine looking at a map. They both had bandit outfits. I use the m14 aim to kill one of them, and the other guy goes sprinting off back the way they had come. I wouldn't have pursued, but he was heading straight towards the atv spot. So I switch out to my l85, and go right on after him, constantly scanning with the sight. I near the edge of the forest, and then there he was, heading right towards a still hot atv. Then he spun around searching, sees me(i was just outside of the the tree line), and he starts shooting at me with an m249. I panic and spray and pray on fully auto with the l85. He reloads, and I blow his head apart with my last 3 rounds. Then I went to the atv, checked its gear, about 10 assorted high powered and extremely rare military weapons, then i jumped on and drove away. This was the third time I had played, and I had been watching tons of youtube videos so I knew how rare these weapons were.

My first kill was a long time ago, when the mod first started out, but i remember it well. It was the first player i ever saw. He came running over to me, i said "Hi". He shot his makarov 8 times at me from 30 feet. I shot him in the head once. He fell to the ground. I learned a lot about trust that day.

I was climbing the tower in the cherno fire station when i see a guy staring right at me from up the stairs he fired a few shots all over the place i pretty much shat myself and i sprayed a whole clip of akm ammo into his chest.

Well... I was playing in a well-populated server, tooling around cherno as a *nearly* fresh spawn... I knew there were bandits just about everywhere, judging by the smattering of corpses in the square...

I made my way, half "edging" and half sprinting to the Fire Station to find myself a better piece than this Makarov... cautious of the tents/wire spammed in the station, (alas, empty), I made my way up the stairs... I dropped my trusty hatchet for an AK-74, and made my way to the tents. On my way there, I hear voices of Direct and bursts from an AK, and the occasionally "snap" of an As-50 bullet cruising by. I gathered some blood bags and some morphine as well as an ALICE Pack, and another Makarov, which I placed with a few mags in the pack, as I planned for new-spawn friends to join. I made my way to a Cafe' in the centre, keeping my weapon lowered, hoping for diplomacy in such a war-torn area, when I hear someone moving about upstairs.

"I'm downstairs, armed, and friendly", I say, making sure to enunciate... even now I felt like a 7.62 couldn't stop a Zed... "Friendly" they say over Chat; "Need blood"... So I did what any good Samaritan would do... I went up, noting that he was unarmed, and was most likely nicked from from cross-fire or one of the infamous "One-Hit Bleeder" Zeds. I patch him up, blood 'im, and tell him to follow me, and stay close. Low and thus far incognito, we move in line outside, I stop to survey the area, I notice 2 things. 1.) A fresh dead body outside the cafe' and 2.) No Zeds. That being the case, I quickly, and thankfully accurately deduced that the perpetrator drew off the Zeds with the fire while nailing that bandit. "Score one for Karma" I note to myself. Snapping out of my "Must check every facet of the environment" daze, I told the guy over direct:

"Listen carefully, reach in my pack, take the Makarov, don't shoot unless they're looking at us"- He begins opening my backpack as I raise my weapon, now regretting my decision to do this in the open. Third person mode saved my ass as I hear the oh-so familiar "Pop" of the Makarov... as the 9mm cartridge explodes behind my head... three or four times... my memory isn't so good after this.. The guy who's ass I just saved and armed was killing me unsuccessfully, cursing to myself, I swung around, firing my AK full-auto as I went, maybe 6 missing en route, and the remaining 24 sinking into his torso, blood gushing, he goes down. "Fuck" I swear at him, knowing he can hear me, "Asshole". I bandage myself up... shaking from shock and pain... and shock as realization creeps in... my precious 3000 Humanity now read -700, and my murders, for the first time read "1".

I realize I shouldn't have been so trusting... but what kind of dumbass pulls that shit on a guy who outguns you, and just risked his ass to save you.

So guy who's name I cannot remember, nor which server, if you *happen* to be reading this by some comical fate I only have one thing to say.
