So I Installed The New Beta Patch

And I still can't get into the fregin 1.7.2.6 servers.

On the main menu, it says that its Day Z - 1.7.2.5, and my version is 1.6296867, why can't I join the new servers?

I thought if you download the beta patch it updates Day Z.

Arma 2 Beta Patch != DayZ Patch

1.62.96867 is the current beta built of Arma 2 CO, DayZ however is something different. You obviously have to download the latest 1.7.2.6 Version of DayZ.

It's not enough to download it, you have to install it as well.

I'll have to say 'dayzcommander' too.

I dont use day z commander or six updater I just use oblivions steam guide http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2832656

Just download 1.7.2.6 http://se1.dayz.nu/latest/

and extract it into your @dayz/AddOns folder (obviously overwrite the old files).

DayZcommander, it does it all for you and since the update that allows you to uninstalling its even better.
