Does the game mechanics allow us to drop tents inside lootable houses?

Seems to me a lot of towns are less travelled by and I would rather try my luck placing a tent in a slow trafficked town than in the woods. Is this possible, or will it end up spawning/genning in the floor or something?

I saw a tent in the church in elektro so I guess so, but then again, there was also a boat there so the legitimacy of the contents of the church is pretty questionable.

I think tents in buildings tends to happen when buildings 'dont load' for some reason, like, a friend logged in in stary once (I was already logged in there waiting for him) and in skype he just yelled 'THERE ARE NO FUCKING BUILDINGS AND SHIT, DAFUQ.' and then proceeded to run through said buildings.

Supermarkets can have tents in them, I have seen this several times. Alas, all empty.

It can you need a bit of spamming to get it to place and it falls through the floor to ground level so depending on the height of the house depends how much sticks up through the floor, I placed a few this way people find em fast though.

Tents inside hospital lobby area, tents in supermarkets, tents in one story log cabin type house., also tents in industrial hangars and large factory buildings. :)

I've definitely seen tents set up inside the firehouses. Multiple times and on multiple servers

Make sure the ground is not raised because it will sink through the floor, otherwise I have set up tents in many buildings (when tents were broken I would just set them up to do it and put a piece of meat in there).
