Hobnobskid 18 Posted September 12, 2012 Last night I find myself a tractor in a field next to Balota.I fill her up with fuel and decide to head north up the west side of the map.The engine is on red, everything else is on green.I make it just North West of Pavlovo, I crash, fly through the windscreen and am left with 300 blood.Eventually I die at the hands of a zombie.Luckily I respawn at Kamenka and I'm only a 3 or 4 minute sprint away. I try to find my body to recover my tools, M4A1 CCO and FAL, the server has about 15 people.I get to where I died, which is quite far from anywhere, in a middle of a field, nowhere near the burnt out tractor.I hear the flies, but don't find a body. It's goneThis is now the second time I have experienced this phenomenon on UK226, the only server I have played on in the last week.So my questions:- Is this a bug?- Can a particular server setting make your body despawn instantly?...- ... or in under 5 minutes- Has perma-death now been implemented, that is, you can't find your own body (a great idea if it has)- Was I just highly unlucky there was another player out in the middle of nowhere who looted and scooted?- Has anybody else experienced this? crobinho 16 Posted September 12, 2012 I didnt die for a while now, but i had a thing where i was killed with my mate beeing right next to me! He was about to stay there to guard my body untill i get there, but it dissapeared almost instantly! Donno if it was server related or what! And like you said, perma-death would be the way to go IMO! crobinho 16 Posted September 12, 2012 but I still think your friend should have been able to see your body and loot itagree on that, but for some reason he wasnt, as it dissapeared straight away! the flyes where there though! and before you ask,yes i trust him not beeing lying, cause i play with him for years now! AnnieGYG 32 Posted September 12, 2012 Bodies normally disappear if you try to DC/Alt F4 at time of death, or someone loots then does "hide body". It could have been a server/hive glitch I guess if neither of these things happen.Bodies should stay on the server until server reset in my experience, I found mine 7 hours later a couple of weeks ago. And there also was no looting since my friend was there! But yeah, on other servers i was able to find my body hours later!
