Standalone ( Music )

So with Dayz becoming a standalone game were expecting a intro vid , perhaps some music on a log in screen or a main menu screen.

I wanna know what music people think would be the best fit for this game

perhaps a certain artist/composer , perhaps you have a piece of music in mind already

Well Rocket has said that there will be a back story as to why you are on a beach ect, so who knows what is going to happen with that. IMO, i would rather find out the story though exploration rather than it being spoon fed to me haha.

the res evil not so much but i like the feel of the music , spooky kinda electronic

I like the idea of tracks like this but I have to agree with the 28 Days Later-esque soundtrack post.

Also is just me that thinks a playable guitar would be epic; especially in role-playing servers?

The dark ambient is amazing. I'd hit up Aphex Twin or somebody more lo-pro like Future Sound of London. Morgenstern or Winterkalte could be cool too as their ambient is fucked up. As much as I dig slow non-commercial dubstep or metal it just doesn't fit. Nothing with drums.

On another note, vehicles need to have stereos that can access your MP3s. Every time I hop into my truck the conspicuous lack of Hank Williams is glaring.

Direct chat open channel + Music blaring out of an Iphone or other music source is fun. Ive had numerous times where people flag me down just to tell me my music rocks donate some beans to the truck and let me continue going. And then there is the times when someone shoots at you and you run them over while playing
