I'm the guy with the green M65. I have much civilian clothing, like the jeans and the black hoodie. Those I bought from the US while I was there. The M65 is 1960's dated, paid 20 dollars for it at a thrift store. Jeans, no idea anymore, old jeans. Shoes are hiking shoes by Viking, retail was around 100 euros. The black cap is Condor, bought locally, around 10 euros. Backpack is Russian new stock, retailed around 120 euros here in Finland. The camo jacket on the backpack is a Anglija jacket with Jagel pattern. The whole suite (trousers not in the pictures) was 130 euros. I took the jacket in for eye candy. Rest of the stuff is military surplus which you can buy rather cheaply here. Weapons are airsoft and prices differ. Gloves are Mechanix M-Pact 2, around 40 euros. You can go dirt cheap and not buy expensive surplus or new stuff. Plain civilian clothing, in my opinion, works best for survivors. Of course, by looting you can procure a lot of great gear. Use your imagination

Those came out quite good! Very nice; looking forward to some more!

Thanks a lot, and yeah, we are too.. We are actually planning on at least one more before the snow, so that should be pretty soon.

Excellent. Most Excellent.

At first glance on the first few photos I thought you photoshopped your faces over a DayZ screen shot. Had to look twice. Any special camera/filter combo used?

Photoshop was used only to get more colors out of the pictures and add to the overall feel of the photos. Everything else is pure apocalyptic goodness.

Ha! Cool photos. Really enjoyed looking through them. Nice tones, similar to the game.

You should make a photo comic out of them, would be easy to add speech bubbles and put them in a certain order.

FINALLY! Couldn't get my account to get verified even tough sending several e-mails to the admins. Well, guess it worked with a other mail account then :]

Well, now I can also start commenting on the photo shoot :D Been a pain in the butt not being able to say a squid, just to read what all you people think.

I'm Mike btw ;)

Thank you. We'r aiming on a other photoshoot a bit later on. We'r waiting for the fall to kick in to get a really nice apocalyptic feel to the scenery. If you guys have any requests, now would be the time to step up so that we got good time to prepare for the shoot! I can't promice that we can do all requests but I'm sure some can be arranged =] And if nothing else you could allways give ideas on what kind of photos you'd like to see.

-Mike out!

By the way if you experience people calling the cops durring these photoshoots, you might want to place a call at the local PD in advance, tell what you're doing, where exactly and for how long you're there. A few cops advised me to, when they showed up durring the shooting of a student film that included a plastic gun. We had permission to be in the area and put up signs warning that we were shooting a film and not to be alarmed. But even the cops missed all the signs although they were hanging all over the place. If we had notified the PD, they said, they could just have calmed worried callers over the phone, instead of showing up and investigating it themselves.

Might be worth a call, if you're interrupted often. :)

Thanx for the tip, luckuly we don't have a huge problem wiht the pd here but its good to be on the safe side. A problem we encountered last time was that the property that we where shooting on is originally property of the state but had been rented out for private use and the owner was kind of cranky when he foud us there x] Well luckly we were done shooting by then and where on our way out :D Next time tough we'll make sure to have permision to be in the place, where ever we'll be for the next shooting. A few phonecalls and everythign should be in order, it doesn't take long and every one is happy :P
