Issue With Sound

Recommended Posts

It seems that my speakers are reversed and I'm not too sure how to fix this. When zombies are on my right side, I can hear them from my left speaker and vice versa. I'm not sure if it's how I have them plugged in (though my fiddling with them hasn't made a difference). So I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this or if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks!

put your left speaker on the right side and your right speaker on the left side.

I had the same problem with my wireless headset when using the 3.5mm jack to hook it up. I temporarily fixed it by just switching around the White and Red sound cords and went and got an optical audio cable with fixed my problem for good. The K.I.S.S. solution would be to swap your speakers, ie: put your left on the right and right on the left.

Haha I love you. Beans. However, I would still like to know why they're reversed as the left speaker/right speaker colours go to their proper places. They are on their "proper" side.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep messing around with them and see what I can do.

I also have audio issues but my problem is different.

My player's footsteps are only heard through the left speaker. Every other sound works on both sides (gunshots, ambient noises, etc.) except for my own footsteps.

Is this a normal Arma thing or am I alone?

I'll go test the footsteps thing because I think it's the same for me. Reply in a sec.

Edit: Both speakers for me. Are you sure there aren't any other sound issues? Or is it definitely just the footsteps?

Thanks for the response AnarchyBrownies^.

Just logged back for more testing. Sound works fine for everything else.

Only footsteps come in on left channel, and only in 3rd person mode (1st person sounds fine).

Again, all other sounds (ocean, birds, gunshots, whatever) sound fine and come from the correct speaker based on my orientation.

Using a 1 week old Razer Charcharias headset that plays great from other sources.
