Looks like a hacker, but was it?

Hi all

I have just started playing today so there is a lot I don't know yet, but a very odd thing happened to me a few minutes ago and I wanted to check it out.

I was just exploring the area after spawning, I aggro'd some zombies and then I was suddenly teleported to a new location; I don't know where or how far as I didn't have a map. The location I teleported to was in the middle of a forest and right in front of me was a box which contained an assortment of weapons, a ghillie suit and other bits and bobs.

I didn't take any of it because my first thoughts were that the items were hacked, I was TPd there by a hacker and he wanted me to take the stuff so I would get banned.

Paranoia justified?

you cant get banned unless you hack the items in yourself. If you have a hacked in weapon such as the as50 TWS, you might get server banned by the admin but not global.

Was a hacker but you can take the stuff as long as it is in dayz, but when you're done looting it be a champ and shoot it until it sets on fire :)

Well I wouldn't know what's supposed to be in the game and what isn't, and I wouldn't want to be banned from even just one server for hacking so I'll steer clear of things like that. Thanks for the info.
