We've seen numerious topics here about people being banned for a reason or no reason. But I've never seen a word from an official person. I don't use hacks and I don't plan to do it in the future. But all I see here is people are saying that hackers can steal your CD-key and sell it or use some tricks to make Battle eye ban you.I must confess that I'm watching youtube videos from cheaters and I browse hacking forums. I do it for a simple reason to know what to expect and to know what hackers are able to do. I'm doing it only from my computer at work so I hope that Battle Eye can't track me back to home (or can they?). And what I see on those forums is that people are selling software that can steal your CD-keys and then they sell it to other people. It's a god damn black market that is going on there.Knowing the amount of hackers in DayZ I've stopped playing the mod so they won't steal my CD-key or trick BE to ban me. I went to regular ArmA but there're cheaters there too! I've played on 3 Domi servers and on all 3 of them there were one or two persons who were hacking. So I stopped playing the game at all.What needs to be done is that an official representative from Arma, DayZ, Bohemia or whoever has to step in and shed some light on the issue. Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted September 10, 2012 There is no way to have your CD-Key banned unless you attempt to download a hack that turns out to be a fake program which changes the CD-Key in your registery to a banned one, and possibly sends the original one you had to the hacker for re-selling purposes. Check the status of those replies and the relevant news feeds in the announcement section.This is endemic of the mod itself as long as it uses the current script led engine. I'm just assuming that was a hacker because it was weird as all get out.Am I alone in this? Just lucky? I play in mostly low population servers and private hive.
