I don't see how having an own blood transfusion would work. You take your blood away.. only to give yourself more blood? This doesn't make any sense to me.

You get blood from the blood bag mate. Not from the person transferring's own blood pool.

But still it would be impossible or nigh on very difficult to give it to yourself.
