Sudden brightness north of Zelenogorsk

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is a repost. My internet went out while submitting and I wasn't sure if it went through.

Date/Time: September 9th, about 9:30PM EST. Dusk on the server.

What happened: While walking south toward Zelenogorsk, everything suddenly got very bright. The sky was the same, but everything else, foliage, zeds, animals, buildings, and players were lit up and appeared brighter than they do in daylight. This seemed to be most intense near the barn, and as I walked further toward the gas station in Zelenogorsk, the brightness dimmed and then when back to normal. While in the bright area, I tried relogging and changing my video settings to cause a flush, but nothing changed. The same thing happened when I walked back toward the barn.

I was playing with my sister and she said everything was normal on her end.

It's possible I lit a road flare in the doorway of that barn a very long time ago, but I can't be sure. I mention this because I found it odd that the brightness seemed the most intense near the barn and dimmed and died out completely by the time I reached the edge of the gas station nearby.

Where you were: Near the barn just north of Zelenogorsk

What you were doing: Looting with my sister on our way to Green Mountain.
