Cannot play at all.

Right so after buying both Arma 2 CO pack off of steam and going on the dayz website and downloading the Six launcher and using that. I cannot join a game. AT all. It will sometimes take me to a black screen with loading. the bar will fill.. then "waiting for host" and it just goes back to a brown server screen. i have also tried loading directly from aforementioned screen. this only results in it not even getting past receiving data. This is exceedingly frustrating as i have been trying constantly for an hour different servers and so forth.

I have also had errors saying that i didn't have downloadable content instalnled. Yes im running in Admin. And weapons bin .

Please. I Just want to play. I haven't managed a single moment in a game yet.

when it jumps from waiting for host back to the server list, does the text "waiting for character to create" appear faintly in the background of the server list?

If so, go to your steam library > right click ARMA OA > select re-install battleye

Also, try using the ARMA 2 beta patch. Instructions in this guide:

Make sure you do the following.

Download ARMA II & Operation Arrowhead.

Open Arrowhead to confirm the game works, then close.

Download DayZ Mod - Extract the .rar files in /Arrowhead/@DayZ/Addons/

( you need to make the @DayZ folder and addons folder yourself. Also, the Dayz_code file might have newer versions such as 1.7, download only the new, and use that. If you download the old once, you might overwrite the newest by mistake. )

Right click arrowhead in your game-list on steam and select SET LAUNCH OPTIONS.

paste this into the form: -mod=@DayZ -nosplash

Press OK, and Close.

Then you're good to go, open Arrowhead, and remember to select the Combined Operations option in the pop-up window, or the game won't work.
