Tents - How many slots does it have?

Trying out a tent for the first serious time. How much total space does it have to store items? The wiki said that it can overload and lose items, but never states how many it can actually hold.

I want to say 60 as we fit 5 guns and some ammo in one of ours before it started dumping stuff on the ground. And yes, if you overload a tent the4 gear does NOT disappear. The gear appears on the ground around the tent.

Ppl say 75 because you can store 7 weapons (wich is 10 slots) one hand-gun (4 slots) and one item.

It varies. It maxes at 50 items though. Do not think that your backpack/inventory is similar to the tent. Items dont necessarily take up more/less space like they do with backpacks. Simply put, it doesnt use "slots"(At least, far as my group can tell), and Ive no clue how it considers each item as I havnt bothered to screw around with it much

It's probably around 60-70, I'd say. My group and I had a large stockpile of food and drink that was approximately 60-ish in number. Of course, the server restarted and deleted the tent's inventory so it was all wasted.

I just attempted this with wood. I reached 50 pieces before it overloaded, with wood presumably filling 2 slots per, it seemed more along the lines of 1.

Took out a piece of wood, 2 slots 'free', and then placed a steel bolt, which overloaded it again.

I had 9 guns and ~30 various magazines before my tent refused to take another weapon.

At the same time another tent had only various magazines and dropped a grenade when it had no more than 50 total items.

It might have seperate counts for the different items?

Tents are items that offer a source of storage players. They do not save from server to server but on the originating server they were deployed on. Deployed tents cannot be stolen, however the items inside can be.

There are 3 item types:

Packs

Weapons/Tools

General items

Weapons/Tools consist of any weapons, and also include vision equipment and tools.

General items like car parts, ammo, medicine, consumables and such fit in the general slots. Adding a weapon or pack won't reduce the amount of ammo you can have stored.

For reference a tent can hold 5 packs, 10 weapons/tools and 75 general slots.

Tents require 3 Inventory slots and can be placed in Backpacks.

Additional tent info:

A tent requires 3 inventory slots to be carried

It can be put into a backpack when you have it in your inventory

It is movable after you set it up however you can't pick up someone's tent

If you move a tent without taking the items they will appear in a big pile of loot nearby where the tent originally was

Tents can hold 50 items and 10 weapons in them (Binoculars and other tools count as weapons as well) and up to 5 backpacks

For now you have to use the "Save" command from the mouse wheel menu in order to properly save a tent although there still is a 50% chance that a server will eat your tent no matter what

Tents are tied to servers and survive server restarts

EVERYONE can take items out of your tent (but not steal the tent)

Tents require a bit of space to be placed at (around 3x3m)

Tents disappear after 2 days after you have died; you can make a new tent after your death or reclaim items from the existing one, however you cannot take it even if you own it.

That last statement is false, tents do not currently disappear after you die, however you do lose your ability to pack up the tent and move it. Rocket has stated that he has plans for tents to be removed by the server a couple of days after you have died (giving you time to "make arrangements").
