deadlyquasar 0 Posted June 12, 2012 Hey guys, I'm getting this issue in arma2, OA, and dayz aswell as diablo 3 but every other game I've tried is fine. I've tried old and new drivers and killing catalyst ai and going through the video settings. Nothings made a difference so far though. Screen shot, its just like overheating artifacts but it happens as soon as the game starts up, even on the main menu and temps are staying in the 60oC's. http://i.imgur.com/A8W7o.jpgdxdiag http://freetexthost.com/btr4mgsg3cHopefully I can get some new ideas here, no luck googling =/

frederik_e_r@hotmail.com 0 Posted June 13, 2012 I have to admit, that does look a bit weird, but I don't think there is much we can do to help you there. Maybe you need to invest in a better rig?

deadlyquasar 0 Posted June 13, 2012 Hmm. Dunno' date=' haven't seen this problem before. This is on a laptop?[/quote']Yep, on a laptop. I've got a better rig I usually use, but I like to have a lower power-consuming option aswell as something i can play while I'm out but this has been keeping me off of two games I'd really like to be playing. rillepille 7 Posted June 13, 2012 Artifacts usually indicate either a video hardware fault and/or an overheating issue. Is the system overclocked? Is the video card overclocked?Have you cleaned the dust out of the machine? You could try to slightly underclocking your video card and see if it helps. carkasjak 0 Posted June 23, 2012 I also get lots of graphical artifacts and sometimes hard crashes(having to reboot to get my PC working again) when I try to play Arma 2 or DayZ on my desktop PC. My speccs are:Mobo: GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0)CPU: i7 930 @stock clocksGPU: geforce GTX 57012GB RAMIf this had happened in other games as well I would assume that the GPU was dying due to overheating, but it doesn't. I've monitored the temps during attempts to play Arma, and they are normal. Never even reaching 70C.I've scoured the internet in search of solutions to my problem and tried many proposed fixes related to graphical issues, but no luck. Legacy (DayZ) 1091 Posted June 23, 2012 Arma II and D3 are both intense games as far as I am concerned and it is no surprise that you're getting a possible overheating issue. Consider a large as shit fan next to the laptop?
