So I'm in Cherno, north end of town where the apartments and hospital are, and I hear a engine running. At first I think it's someone on a motorcycle then I see it! The abandoned car, engine running, surrounded by zombies. I'm thinking "What happened here?".

Who cares, I run around to distract the Zs and quickly jump in. NICE! 3/4 tank of gas. Lets go! This was super sweet, my first car. Let head up north, go check out some northern towns. As I'm driving up the road going north from Cherno, I erupt into a huge explosion of flames!! I fly out of the car unconscious and die. Oh well. I figure I was shot from somewhere... But it was fun for those 5 mins.

So that it, just a story of my first vehicle that ended in an epic fail.

My friend and I would love to get a viechle, but we figure its too much work and takes time out of finding supplies. I wish we could bunker down in a Clan/Group like base to store supplies. Then we'd have more time to explore or do other things.

I found a car hidden in a tree in the middle of a forest, far, far from any road. Got in, drove it from one side of the map, aaaaaall the way to the other and had many, many adventures a long the way. It was a great little coupe. Got some great gear from it. I might have named it. I felt like I was 16 again. Moral of the story, if you find a vehicle in perfect condition anywhere outside of the middle of a forest the chances are high that...

You can. The patch fixed Vehicle and Tent disappearances, so you can make a base. Just play on the same server all the time and it wouldn't be too hard.

Don't think it was a trap. I drove for a good 5 mins north before ka-boom. I think maybe the engine was damaged and I hit a bump. I heard stuff like that can happen. I was a new spawn, so I didn't care that I died. I only play for the shenanigans now....

Finding and fixing up a vehicle do not take much time... it's the damn engine part! with a 0.98% chance at spawning good luck finding them.

Myself and a buddy found a Ural and drove around for a few hours stocking up on vehicle parts. We later headed up north to our small camp to store some stuff. I went AFK for a minute and came back to the sound of the Ural cranking up and leaving!

At first I thought it was my buddy messing around but turned to see him beside me. We gave chase up the hill where the thief had stopped. He was standing on the opposite side of the vehicle apparently checking the contents. At this point I zoomed in with my L85 and pop his legs two or three times. He runs around to the back truck where I put at least four or five rounds in his chest... nothing, then he disappears.

I assume ok, he combat logged. I run towards the truck and it wasn't five seconds after he disappeared that he reappeared behind the truck and pokes out and puts one in me... dead.

What kind of car was it? I've noticed that tractors like to explode all the time, and whenever the engine is red in anything else it's a good idea to fix it.

90% it will explode

ofc you can survive the explosion unconscious with 2-6k blood

but thats based on luck ofc :D

You flipped a UAZ what the hell?! How in the world did you manage to do that?

Haha, I flipped an offroad once. Another player was hiding in a bush when that happened. He just started laughing [it sounded like he was crying as well :D] on direct com. He said that he originally planned to kill me, but seeing that happen, it was just too funny for him to do so.

Found a bus in calamar (lingor's cherno) fixed it up for a road trip and go toward the north. Our group spots a player and kill him then I drive down a hill and flipped the bus onto its roof. It was really funny but kind of a bummer.
