Great forums for a new player!

I just wanted to say hey to everyone. Great forums for sure...I just started playing about a week ago. This game is pretty much everything a zombie game should be. bugs/hackers not included of course but we gotta be patient. Me and my buddy have been hitting it pretty hard, but we are still looking for more people to make friends with. I was so excited to run into people at first, but I learned pretty quick that if they arent fresh spawns, they are gonna be out to kill you. Kinda sad that it has to be that way but it pretty much does. I've come to adopt the "shoot first, ask later" mentality myself after a fresh spawn stole the M249 out of my pack and killed me with it. All in all, me and my friend are looking to meet good people. We aren't looking to screw anyone over, just meet some other friendlies and have a good time. I've noticed some guild tags in the servers, not sure how to go about trying to get into one, but that would be cool too. Also, can anyone recommend smooth running servers? We don't play in the dark, so I'm gonna pin down two servers, one for RL daylight hours and one that runs daylight hours at RL night time hours. Hit me up if youd like to meet new people in game. take care everyone!

If you shoot first, you don't get to ask, and you lose the chance to meet the good people you seem to want to meet.

Stop doing that.

Are you sure you have the communication system down? Make sure you are on the "Direct Communication" channel and understand that the dude you see (and who hopefully doesn't see you yet) is probably not on it.

Keep your distance (don't let them steal guns from your pack) and you'll have some better experiences.

thanks for the tips. I def learned to not let people get that close to me lol. And I suppose you're right about shooting them right away not being good for making friends. I'll take that into account. Yeah, I understand the direct comm situation, but like you said, if they aren't on it, then maybe they dont hear me. It will be interesting to see if they make all that easier to handle on the standalone. Thanks for the reply! Good luck out there!

If you want to meet up with others, a good place to look in the forum is Survivor HQ (for friendly survivors) or Bandit Campfire (for bandits/playerkillers).

You don't need to be close to die, snipers ftw (heavy sarcasm, hate snipers). Great community for the most part, until you start to QQ and then everyone goes apeshit and hates you lol. Usually if you go into survivor HQ and just post that you're looking for people to play with you're 99% guaranteed to find somebody to play with, or you could just apply to some clans (i'd advise against the CQF)
