Flashlight's on guns, or in general not working

Hey guys i have seen vid's of flashlights on guns, and handhelds working for lots of people but i can't ever get mine to turn on. what is the deal here? is there a setting or option somewhere? or is it just bugged?

right click torch "remove from tool belt, switch to it and press L

they only work at night

You have to put your pistol (If you have one) in your back pack to equip the torch, also the remington has a flash light and they do work.

Torch is Englandish for flashlights.

A torch is a flashlight. (a quick google would have told you that) But I think it depends on how fast your computer is. WhenI play on my shitty laptop, flashlights don't work. But on my gaming desktop, I've never had a problem.

Nope. But you need pistol G17 and/or M4A3. Then press L when in hand. I don't know other weapon with torch/flashlight, but G17 and M4A3 working 100%

lol well now we're back to my original post which is that i've heard that it does work, and that it doesn't so i'm looking for some reasoning as to why it apparently 'doesn't' work all the time
