And also why I can't connect with Rcon, DaRT or Arma2 Rcon?

No hack this time, just a database glitch - it's fixed now everything should start running again in a minute.

Try restarting your server (stop/start)? That should be the first thing anyone does if they can't connect to their server.

Gametracker does not update servers very frequently and are not a good way to determine whether or not a server is online, so it's likely that your server is up even though gametracker says it isn't. In fact I was able to connect just fine.

Ahhh it seems to be live again :D

Phew! Not sure if you did anything, but it was off for a fair while, not like it was a quick reboot or anything.

The map tool has changed and isn't as good as it was, you can't add the starting ID now, so it now takes me absolutly ages to add bases instead of it taking about 5 minutes.

It was a fantastic tool and helped a great deal but not sure why it needed changing - if ain't broke don't fix it.

I'm not super worried about IDs at the moment, but I can see how that would get annoying. I really just want to know what the coordinate offsets are for Panthera so I can place one set of structures correctly as a test.

Gonna reiterate a question I posted before the big hacking hullabaloo:

I'm trying to place buildings using the 3D editor and the tool here: http://dayz.wofjwof.com/map.php , but it looks like the coordinates are WAY off. I'm running Panthera, and the items I tried to place were in the ocean to the north of the north airfield, but they ended up in the desert to the south. Do I need to use an offset on the coordinates before running the sql statement? If so, what is it?

The one thing i have found with adding buildings is do not reload and edit a file that you have all ready saved it will make everything you have put down go on the piss . Apart from that it should work good i have had know prob with it and yes it is a bitch that thy have taken way starting string.

Are my emails going to your spam folder, or are you guys taking longer than normal to get back to us on them? I sent in one email, I believe the night before the first whole hacking incident, and then resent it again last night and I have still not heard back. From past expirence and from what everybody else says here you guys are usually very very quick about getting back to us on stuff (One of the major reasons I picked you guys after my last host). I hope you can get back to me on it soon. Email would be from a A.......2762@gmail.com

My server is stuck at "Wait for host". I cannot do anything; if I click the shutdown button the light stays green and the server doesn't shut down.

EDIT: Now I just joined my server and it was a different server, lovely.

EDIT2: Problem seems solved... don't know what the hell just happened.

There is a "message" table in the database that you're supposed to be able to do this through, but I can't get it to work... :(

Seems like this comes up and then the player gets kicked. It's been happening the entire evening to multiple players.

Yeah the two attempts I made were saved out immediately. I think the only problem is that the coordinates are off. I know that when relating DB coordinates to in-game coordinates, there's a different offset for each map. I originally figured that the coordinates I got out of the map tool would be correct, but it doesn't look that way.

You can also try a PM to Ersan on the forums, he checks the forums at least a few times a day. If your e-mails are getting eaten, your PMs will get through.

I had this issue twice, you might have to update your port by switching your server to another location and then switching back again.

It kept redirecting players at random to another server and the game would crash.

Anyone else notice a huge influx of hackers and scripters in the last few days? Yesterday I banned at least 8 people for spawning in gear, vehicles, using Godmode, teleporting; the whole nine yards.

Maybe it's just our server getting these misfits though.

Just noticed this, i am extremely unhappy about it. my regular members have already been frustrated due to the constant server issues and started to leave. Now the server is finally up, there going to have to yet again change to another version, loose the vehicles they have collected

If anything, shouldnt we be able to choose from the two instead of being forced one?

Plus i thought we were all getting FTP! For the first time im really not happy with things at the moment

Bliss abandoned the dayzland.eu branch, this is a forced step, Vilayer did the same and since DayZCommander is someway linked to Vilayer i'm sure it will not support the .eu version later on, so you would stuck with a map played by only fews = no users on your server. It's better to switch today than waiting weeks when the server will be already consolidated.

I agree on the FTP, we absolutely need it for the customizations, Vilayer is superior under this aspect.. but i'm scared about the new hundred ways they'll open to the hackers with the FTP access, so i would put 10 eye on it and pay extremely attention to any possible exploit prior than giving FTP access to all the customers.

Things are starting to return to normal after the hacking incident earlier in the week, sorry about the late responses on e-mails but we'll be answering all of them today.

We added new servers at every location except Salt Lake City (which will be available wednesday or thursday due to hardware shortage) so there should be availability everywhere except SLC.

We also added a new location: San Jose, California and setup a test server in Singapore

Also we will be transitioning to dayztaviana.com's version of Taviana later today.

Unfortunately the vehicles and spawns are too different between the versions so we cannot keep them when transitioning, player data *should* be transferrable unless we give further notice.

If you are an advanced user you can have a go at re-mapping the vehicles yourself, just make a backup of your database now.

Sorry we've been behind on e-mails since all of the hacker problems earlier in the week, we've just caught up on security audits and fixing all of the servers and we are going to clear out the inbox now, this isn't how we normally operate and we should be getting things back to normal soon - our apologies.

This is an old bug that was introduced in an ArmA2 beta, you need to change your ports to fix it - you can do this by switching to another location and back again. Any players that had your server saved in favorites will need to update their favorites.

We do not support manual payments. If you want to reinstate your subscription send an e-mail to admin@dayz.st with your username and subscription ID. You will have to sign up for a new subscription using the same username on the day that your subscription expires after we respond to your e-mail.

I get this when I try to access my database...

#1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Database passwords were changed yesterday, check your control panel for the new password.

We have no choice but to support dayztaviana.com's version and drop support for dayzland.eu - bliss no longer supports dayzland.eu and our servers use bliss. We have to switch if we want to continue receiving bliss updates. I did my very best to try and re-map the dayzland.eu vehicles to the dayztaviana.com version but it's just not possible - there are way too many differences.

DayZCommander is no longer linked to Vilayer other than the referral link for servers (which we are still negotiating about, it may stay as is) - we now host all of the files and provide all bandwidth for DayZCommander, Vilayer does not any more.

I talked to Josh and I think it's fairly likely that dayzcommander will stop supporting dayzland.eu Taviana in the near future.

FTP doesn't pose a security problem as much as a logistics problem. We have a very different way of hosting servers that is cloud-based (config, mission, server, etc. files are generated on the fly and downloaded anytime a server is restarted, that is how we can provide managed servers on such a large scale). If we provide FTP access there are many files you won't be able to edit with it, including mission.pbo, server.pbo, arma2.cfg, profile file (edit tracers, map icon, nameplates, crosshairs, etc.), server.cfg (which will never be available because that is where max players and other important settings are held), and DayZ/map pbo's (which will also likely not be editable).

The only useful things you can do with it right now are edit battleye script detection files, download logs more reliably, and add additional pbo's to be loaded using the @bliss directory.

If we released FTP without any access to those files I assume people will be mad - anytime someone requests FTP access it is usually to make changes to the server pbo or mission files, so we have to come up with an alternative way to edit those files - that's what is taking so long.

That makes sense with the ftp, as st offers so many features at the click of a button. Plus i think people wanting FTP access would be expecting full access to everything from the server exe / Dll's to the configs as i have seen this been offered by other providers

On another note Ersan, do you have any plans to implement a donation feature? We normally have a few offering to donate and it would make it easier

Also - Does anyone know if i am doing something wrong with these server messages, ive attached a pic of what i have done, but they dont seem to be working in game

Audio, server messages are NOT working not because of your mistake (i'm using the same config of my "home server"), but because the servers hasn't been initialized to have the msgs working (it's the --with-messaging flag). There's nothing you can do, only Ersan can solve the issue (i believe they aren't working for anyone else). Same for killing messages not working i believe (--with-killmsgs).

All server/mission files are compiled --with-messaging, and enabling kill messages in your control panel will compile with --with-killmsgs (except for lingor which kill messages do not work with and thus the option is unavailable). The issue is either bliss or individual server configuration. I know there was a problem with the mission file that was blocking global chat messages (like kill messages and messaging) that was supposed to be fixed with this commit https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/commit/70ac776e549e785797185773da675278b816308d and then shortly thereafter there was a problem with compiling multiple mission file changes that was supposed to be fixed with this commit https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/commit/fc4adf6aa78dc9c463346065b8a4ffb1772a92cc but some maps seem to still have problems. I haven't had time to do further testing so I don't know exactly where the problem is yet. When I do I will submit a bug report to bliss.

I'm running the same config (and map) on my home server, and both the killing messages and ingame msgs are working fine... so i'm not sure if it's a bliss problem (atm on my dayz.st Namalsk server, both aren't working).
