Vehicle spawns resetting every server restart

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm wondering how I could go about having a DEV take a look at our InstanceID or if there are any issues that may cause what is happening to us.

We have a pretty new server, not even a week old. Battleye works, admin commands work great and there really are no issues except for the fact that EVERY TIME we restart the server (hard reset, battleye reset, doesn't matter) our vehicles reset back to the spawn. I can't confirm if tents are disappearing but it may be happening as well.

It's my understanding that vehicle resets cannot be done by modifying files (I didn't even touch the config files anyways) and that it's controlled by the backend/HIVE. How do I go about troubleshooting this? Does my host need to contact its source at DayZ?

EDIT: This happened on 1.7.2.5 BETA 9061 and the most recent 1.7.2.6 BETA 96584. Multiple server restarts do not bring the vehicles back. The inventory in the vehicle is reset and the vehicle is in it's original, broken state.

This is a bug in DayZ 1.7.2.5 that has existed for many weeks and is talked about ad nauseum in this forums. A simple search would've turned up many many multi-page threads about it. Please search next time.

A fix was released just yesterday via DayZ 1.7.2.6 for tents/vehicles not saving.

Simply update to DayZ 1.7.2.6 *AND* Hive 0.7.4 and you'll be golden.

If you *are* on 1.7.2.6, you've either failed to update your Hive to 0.7.4 or have otherwise installed some portion of your update incorrectly.

You really should have read my whole post before posting. You're response was not helpful at all.

-It has nothing to do with the vehicle inventory bug

-The vehicles are resetting every restart, no matter what. This is not the case with every server

-It has nothing to do with versions as I mentioned in the post that I've tried multiples

-The HIVE files have been installed properly as it's simply a package that my host has provided, and no other servers are experiencing this issue

Your original post made no mention of server versions. You edited them in later.

"Edited by Netro, Today, 10:42 AM."

My post:

"Posted Today, 10:44 AM"

I was already typing away and never saw your 10:42am update. My apologies for not constantly refreshing the thread under the wild assumption that you might have updated your thread with more details in between when I started writing my reply.

Despite this, my answer is still 100% valid and provides the solution to your problem. You better bet I'm not going to further clarify from here though or help you at all any further.

Good luck, asshole.

1. Get on forums asking for help

2. Post snide comments to people who try to help

3. ???

4. Profit

Good luck with your issue, I hope it takes 10x longer to fix than you had hoped for...you sound like you deserve it with that attitude

His reply was border line trolling and it was clear he can't read. You guys are fucking idiots.

Read my reply to him if you're not clear on why he is fucking retarded.

Contact your managed hosting provider, it should be their problem to deal with.

Besides, who's to say the "package" from your managed host was properly setup.

I mean without you being able to verify things yourself there's no way to know for sure.
