Tactical gameplay suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hello, peeps. I have a few suggestions for the game.

1. Camo nets

-This would mainly be for hiding vehicles. I noticed many people hide their vehicles in the middle of a forest, in between bushes. They are still QUITE noticable. Implimenting camo nets would allow players to more effectively conceal their vehicles that they spent hours fixing.

2. Booby traps

- I know the bear trap is in the game, but giving players a few tools to defend their encampment when they are not online would be nice.

For instance- Fishing wires + a pulley + grenade = grenade goes off when another player steps over the wire.

There can be many combinations. Maybe even: Shovel + Wood Pile + camo net= Punji stick trap.

Fall through a hole with pointy sticks inside. Hide it with camo net.

3. Trap doors/ secret entrances/ combination locks

- self-explanatory, gives only certain players access to their base. This may be a bit too much, as it would completely limit other players from looting.

My point is, it doesn't have to be that others simply CANNOT access our belongings, but give the owners a way to protect their property better. (Help us hide them or make them a pain to access).

4. Shooting while onboard vehicles

-People who are not driving shoot be able to roll the windows down an fire their weapons at pursuers.

-maybe the driver can fire his side arm while driving but have less control.

Team work, Cooperation:

-The lack of cooperation between players is a big problem in this game.

Here are a few ideas to counter that.

1. Place trade camps.

-Placing camps where fire arms will be confiscated during your stay will be effective. Here, players can set up stands to sell equipment and supplies that they gathered across the wasteland.  Items can be sold through: trading for other items or make a currency system.

2. Co-operation level:

- Give progression to cooperation.

Cooperating with players more and more gives you additional levels or experience points. They can be allocated or automatically give you bonuses.

For instance:

Damage bonuses to cooperative players.

Sneak bonus to cooperative players.

Award players for cooperating through bonuses or equipment.

Humanity:

Gain humanity for killing zombies. Massive humanity increase for helping other players.

Becomxing a hero should give players more bonuses.

Other suggestions:

1. More Weapons!!!

-This has probably been said so many times. The only ARs we see in game are M16 and Ak47 variants. I want to see some variety!

G36?

AUG?

F2000?

SCAR-L?

2. Change of scenery

- The same old map gets quite boring quite quickly. I've played the Lingor Island mod and the change of scenery was very interesting. New areas to explore and new views. It revitalized the fun for me. Being able to visit multiple different regions which are accessible by following the roads that lead you out of the map.

I like everything but the idea of increasing co-op play. How to play the game is decided by players, not the game itself.

the F2000 made its debut in 2001 didnt exist in the time of this game setting plus its a NATO weapon, not in a post soviet country....

edit: the Scar-L also didnt make an appearance in service until 2009

No camo nets, no booby traps and no blocking off parts of the map. Retarded ideas and you'd be able to use server hopping to bypass them all anyway...

I think passengers should be able to fire from a vehicle, not the diver though.

Safe zones/trading camps are another half-baked, broken idea. Can't enter with a weapon? I'll wait outside and kill everyone as they leave then... Hurr durr.

You shouldn't gain humanity from killing zombies. The current system isn't perfect but I can't think of anything better.

More weapons - yes.

More official maps - yes.

More guns - Not really a good or bad idea. In this game a Gun is a gun, all the matters is the iron sights/opitics that are on it as you dont fin your self in constant fire fights where you can be picky about what gun you have, so long as it fires bullets you are pretty much sorted,

More maps - Yes, id love for there to be like 3-4 maps on release, or even two to be honest. One nice field and forest like we have now, One massive city map with parks (like new york city size)

Safe zoes - No, it is the buggest load of crap idea any one could suggest for the game, The idea behind the game is that NOWHERE IS SAFE. if you want a safe zone then you need to have actually players set up in locations around your camp keeping guard. thats the closest to safe you will get.

Trading - Maybe if there was an easier way to trade items between players that would be a nice feature, but adding a currency, No. Its the end of the world, the only value an item has is what others are willing to trade for it, back to basic barter system items are only worth what some one is willing to barter you for it. simple. and is already part of the game.

Camo nets- Maybe, I like the idea of being able to cover a car, i also like the idea of passengers being able to shoot. Not drivers though just passengers.

tbh add what wasteland has to dayz sorted.

dayz has no real purpose. without purpose dayz is soon over.

wasteland has missions which gives a purpose , you can build bases and so on. vehicles better more comon . stops hoarding and is more fun.

The whole point of DayZ is that it's a sandbox game...
